We had a very enjoyable stay. The welcome was warm, staff friendly & room comfortable. Waterloo House was a good base from which to explore Dublin, making use of the regular local buses. The highlight for me, were the excellent breakfasts, with plenty of gluten-free options.

Waterloo Guesthouse is well-located on a quiet street. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is beautiful and the menu is varied beyond the traditional Irish breakfast which was a welcome change. A great value in Dublin.

Waterloo House is a cross between a b & b and a hotel. It is in a wonderful location, within a few minutes walk of the city center. The staff is friendly and helpful and for those of you with a car, there is free parking. This is so much more charming and personal than a chain hotel. The multiple... More

I stayed for a week in May 2015 and was put at my request in a roomy, quiet and well appointed king room in the upper back of the house. The full Irish breakfast downstairs looking on to the garden was excellent, and the comfortable and handsome sitting room in front of the office was a pleasant place to relax... More

We have used Karen Brown for years and she has never disappointed us. Unfortunately, Waterloo House did not live up to expectations. It is in dire need of some sprucing up and upgrades. Our room was dingy with stained carpets, terrible lighting, 3 pillows on a king bed, sheets that did not fit the bed, bath linens that belong in the... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Waterloo. The staff is great and extremely helpful. Water is provided in the rooms and the breakfasts are delicious – from the mini Irish breakfast to the full Irish breakfast to the French toast to the omelets – all made perfectly and served by very friendly people in a beautiful setting. We were... More

this townhouse is about 20-25 mins walk to Stephens Green. you can also catch several public buses from the City Center. Buy your ticket with the bus Driver. you need to pay cash and don't get change. So always have a few Euros on you. the Breakfast room is nicely located at the back with a big glass veranda to... I had very high hopes for this place reading reviews and their website. It is certainly NOT 4 star. For €165 per night I expected better. The room was immaculately clean and the tea and coffee making services were most welcome. I expect to be provided with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner at least. what I got was a liquid... More

My husband and I recently stayed for two nights at Waterloo House. The accommodation was good, although our room and bed were smaller than expected. For a more comfortable night's sleep, I would suggest requesting a queen sized bed and not taking for granted the double would be of that size. Apart from that, the morning breakfast was delicious, featuring... More

This hotel is a large apartment-like building with a small parking lot in front. Reception is inside a large door in a small office. The room we had (for two) was rather small and old, and the bathroom could have used some updating (the water temperature kept changing during a shower). The breakfast room was very night, a sunroom, and... More
