I had a confirmed reservation and arrived around 10:30pm. Both front doors were locked and the bell was not answered. I banged with the rapper - still no answer. Googled the phone number and rang there. The reply was a standard text from an answering machine. I banged against the door for about 20 minutes. Finally I was buzzed in... More

Out of the way...off the beaten path but handy and within a walk to the hop on hop off location and a short taxi ride anywhere. The place is nice but beaten. The walls, carpet bathrooms all need to be redone in a bad way. The bed was comfy and we slept well. The breakfast was made to order and... More

If you like walking around to get to know a place, Ballsbridge is a great place to be in Dublin. That is one of the best features in the Waterloo House. The hotel also offers friendly service and a nice Irish breakfast, included in room rate. The room themselves are mediocre, rundown. Bathrooms are bare-bones and old. My room was... More

Lovely setting, fantastic location and amazing waffles for breakfast, with perfetly cooked crispy bacon! Off street parking was great and the staff were so helpful. Room was spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. My only negative was that the bathroom was a bit worn looking but the cleanliness was superb. I'll be back again

We (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed twice at the Waterloo House during out trip trough Ireland. Lovely location, nice staff, beautifull rooms, great breakfast and a quit and soothing loungeroom. The kids loved the dogs, they still miss Maloy & Charlie. Owner Evelyn has great suggestions to eat (eat at Kanum!) and was really helpfull with our package that came... More

Just stayed in this guesthouse for the second time. It is conveniently located in Dublin city centre. The rooms are charming and are spotlessy clean. The breakfast was delicious - would highly recommend the full irish breakfast! This guesthouse has a homely feel to it with really friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

I was lucky enough to have stayed at Waterloo House for 4 nights early last week as part of a family holiday. I can't reccommend the place highly enough! The room we had was very, very spacious (number 41 and the rest of our party was in 40) and facing the back of the property so it was nice and... More

We booked 2 nights for a double room in mid June (165 Euros/night). We were given room 40 facing the front of the property. It was very small but appeared in good condition. We went out for the day and arrived back late, not going to bed until midnight. It was by far the worst bed I have ever not... More

My wife and I spent the last night before flying back to the States at Waterloo House. It reminded us of the best of Oxford in the mid-1960s: charm, super-nice and helpful staff, lovely room, huge bathtub, and above all a wonderful sunny breakfast in the pergola-like garden dining room. Free parking, too. We recommend it highly.
