I stayed 4 nights at Waterloo House (WH) during July/August 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. as most of my family live in Ireland I am over the water many times each year. Great breakfast with plenty of choice, comfy beds, clean rooms, pleasant hosts, car parking and WH is really handy for the centre of Dublin, 'll be... More

My girlfriend and I stayed her a few nights when we were new to Dublin. We were so well looked after. On arrival, the staff were helpful in showing us to the rooms and the local bits and pieces. The room itself was nice, nothing over the top and the bathroom was big for a bed and breakfast. The bed... More

We were disappointed with this B&B, the rooms were small and dated. We have stayed in several B&B's in Ireland and this one is overpriced. The breakfast were small and it lacked the friendliness of a B&B you would expect. It was a good twenty-five minute walk into town.

Attended an event in Dublin and accommodation is always at a premium in the summer months. I needed a base within walking distance of city centre, Ballsbridge and that had parking. Waterloo Guest house has all of these, and more. From the moment I walked in, it felt like home. Not that I live in a grand Georgian house, but... More

I stayed in Waterloo House on the first night of the Ed Sheeran concerts in Dublin. I managed to get a room very close to the date of the concert and while a little expensive it was much cheaper than any other place I could find so was well worth it. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk... More

We had a very enjoyable stay. The welcome was warm, staff friendly & room comfortable. Waterloo House was a good base from which to explore Dublin, making use of the regular local buses. The highlight for me, were the excellent breakfasts, with plenty of gluten-free options.

Waterloo Guesthouse is well-located on a quiet street. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is beautiful and the menu is varied beyond the traditional Irish breakfast which was a welcome change. A great value in Dublin.

Waterloo House is a cross between a b & b and a hotel. It is in a wonderful location, within a few minutes walk of the city center. The staff is friendly and helpful and for those of you with a car, there is free parking. This is so much more charming and personal than a chain hotel. The multiple... More

I stayed for a week in May 2015 and was put at my request in a roomy, quiet and well appointed king room in the upper back of the house. The full Irish breakfast downstairs looking on to the garden was excellent, and the comfortable and handsome sitting room in front of the office was a pleasant place to relax... More

We have used Karen Brown for years and she has never disappointed us. Unfortunately, Waterloo House did not live up to expectations. It is in dire need of some sprucing up and upgrades. Our room was dingy with stained carpets, terrible lighting, 3 pillows on a king bed, sheets that did not fit the bed, bath linens that belong in the... More
