Don't book in the north of Dublin. It is like jumping in the town of the 80s, worst of the 70s. It is dirty, nothing to do with the southern part of the, which is modern and gorgeous. Moreover this guesthouse is in a bad area, it is noisy, and there are holes and stains everywhere. Really, avoid it!

Rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly, it was great for us since we were backpacking and didn't need a lot of extras. There is wifi, but the TV didn't work. Not a big deal for us since we weren't there to watch TV! We were never really sure when there was staff there and when there wasn't. The... More

I stayed at Harvey's during a study abroad trip for three nights. The rooms were lovely with big beds. Everything was very clean. My room was on the very top floor (six staircases, two of which are very narrow) but it was still a great room & the trek up isn't bad at all. The breakfast there was delicious and... More

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. Everything about this guesthouse was simply excellent. Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and we thought it was a bargain for only 6 Euros. The location is ideal too, just a 10 - 15 minute walk to the major attractions. The... More

The location was great, just a mere 15 minute walk to city center. The rooms were big, and the beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean and nice. The place was very quite and the staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there! It is great place to stay if you are in town for a... More

just 15 mins walk to city centre, stayed in family room and it was nice size lots of original features and helpful staff. The area though is quite rough and noisy ok if adults in groups but probably not family's with children. Didn't pay much and did the job.

I stayed in this guesthouse for the weekend and although my heart sank when I saw the location it turned out to be lovely place to stay. The street outside is dirty but that is not the case once you enter the guesthouse. It is a lovely old house and although it is dated it is clean and comfortable. I... More

We booked into this guest house as part of a last-minute trip, but it didn't take us long to wish we had spent a bit longer to find somewhere else. "We" are simply a family of 4: 2 parents and 2 teenage children - we can (and have) put up with many places so we don't regard ourselves as being... More

I stayed at Harvey's Guesthouse for two nights on September 27th & 28th, 2013. This is about the 5th time I have stayed there over the past twelve years or so. The owner/staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is fantastic. The location is awesome being just a short walk from many attractions, and bus connections. The price... More

I got a good weekday deal on this room online, so I maybe had lower expectations than some reviewers. It's a very charming Georgian building, and my room was bright and comfortable with a bathtub (an amenity I was VERY happy to have, having a cold). I don't understand other reviewers' complaints that it wasn't clean. Everything wasn't up to... More
