Recently stayed here, expected very high standards for the price, seemed to be run by father and son as a business. Nice enough room, no knob on wardrobe, hairdryer had to be requested breakfast was nice but got the impression that profits were tight e.g marmalade put on plate, no tea bag in pot of tea brought to table had... I've stayed here many times over the years and it is always very good value compared to many of the nearby hotels. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always very good. Decor is a bit tired in the bedrooms, but to be honest it's a minor complaint.

Don't understand why reviewers said staff not friendly, they were courteous, helpful, and made us feel at home. 3 female Americans enjoyed our stay & will be back. Bus across the street for the city and the RDS. Not a area to stay if your on a budget tho, not many pubs in area.

Booked this because I couldn't get into Bewleys hotel. What a surprise, half the price , nice comfortable rooms and a great breakfast menu all in. Nice location and only 5 min away from the train and if your going to the Aviva or Board Gash theater as we were it is perfectly located. On site parking and friendly staff.... More

We stayed here for a rugby match at the nearby Aviva Stadium. The B&B is perfectly located for the Aviva but also only a short and pleasurable walk into town. I do understand what other reviewers have said about the lack of friendliness, I was a bit surprised at how brisk our welcome was, although it was not unfriendly, just... More

I agree with the reviewer who said there is no warmth here - metaphorically and literally. They seem a pleasant family who run it. But there is a sternness and seriousness, and the place is run like a business rather than somewhere that should be hospitable and welcoming. There isn't any friendliness. Not what you want when one is away... More

Great place to stay, very well located, quiet and secure, free parking, lovely facilities and shared common room, good sized rooms which were clean and very well separated with doors to corridors to limit noise. Friendly staff and warm at night. Limited TV channels though - but most of your time will be spent out in any case, alright the... More

This was our first trip to Dublin and we chose Glenogra as it had good rating, free parking and easy access into the City centre. The bedrooms were a reasonable size and clean, although the bed was pretty hard! Only 2 choices of cereals but a good choice of cooked breakfast. would have been nice to have yogurt and fresh... We came late night by car after a flight from Dublin. The hostess let us in & helped us to check-in quickly. The car parking in front can holds up to 5 cars, but because it was late night the person told us that it'll be too noisy to open the back parking gate... a bit weird, although he offered... More

The Glenogra's brochure boasts of a "luxurious base for both recreational and business travellers and "all bedrooms are beautifully decorated" - so it fails on both counts regrettably. There was no beauty or luxury in our experience. We went on the tripadvisor reviews 8.6 and were disappointed. Whilst it is well appointed in the Ballsbridge area which is a brilliant... More
