I would rather sleep on the ground in the street than ever set foot inside this disgusting hotel again. Yes, it's cheap but it's also revolting, loud, dirty, and small. The staff were rude and seemed excited to have tricked out-of-towners into staying in their hotel.

I think some people forget that this is a budget hotel and therefore offers incredible value for money. Firstly, ignore any negative reviews! You must really question the expectations of some people, for as long as you not expecting five star luxuries on a budget, this is the PERFECT stay for a short stop in Dublin.

Stayed at the Maple for a weekend in January 2012. To be honest this is more of a hostel or very low rated hotel. The staff are very friendly - no complaint there. The bar was quite cold but the bar manager went and found us a heater. Lower Gardiner Street is in the not so posh end of town....

Nice place to to stay, The staff and porters were very helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic time in the Bar (Ned Keenan;s) with lots of live Irish Trad and plenty of Craaaaaaaaaaaak as they say. Would definitively stay again.
