We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were very nice, and clean. Loved the colourful decor of checked carpets, striped bedding, spotted curtains and animal print chair (all in the same room!). The shower was very good, the bed was very comfortable, and the free wi-fi was very useful. The only negative... more

We recently stayed at the Academy Plaza for two nights when we arrived in Dublin, then returned for a night just before we flew out. The hotel is a great value for a pretty expensive city. The location is minutes from Temple Bar, Trinity College, Grafton Street, etc., but O'Connell Street has plenty of life on its own. We had... more

Stayed at the academyplaza hotel for two nights in early July. We choose this hotel because of its proximity to the main shopping fare in dublin. Everything was on our doorstop. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. We found the staff very helpful and friendly and gave us all the tourist info we needed. The rate we paid was very... more

WicklowSean, Fantastic that you enjoyed your time with us and thank you for taking the time to write! You're spot on with the location as you just can't beat our quiet side street off the most famous and busiest road in Dublin - O'Connell Street! With almost every major form of transport ending up just steps from our hotel, taxi's...

We had a great time in dublin and will definitly book this hotel again as the location is central to most places and only 10 minutes from temple bar. Contact the hotel... more

We stayed at the Best Western Premier Academy Plaza on 24 June for 4 Nights for a city break. We got a great rate on the hotel website. I believe the hotel has recently had a major extension and renovation. The spacious marble floors and walls at reception was very welcoming and check in was efficient and stress free. The three glassed... more

Well, when I got to Dublin on the AirCoach from the airport, the hotel was easy to find and easy to get to, just a 2 min. walk from O'Connell Street. I checked in and found that I was put right next to the air conditioning vent/ducs, just as I had asked several times and when I checked in, not... more

It's another average hotel.....Its location is great however there is so much that could be improved in this hotel. I found my room a little dated. The restaurant downstairs serves good food but it's too pricy! The staff is very friendly though. This hotel could do with a little refurb... more

I stayed at the Academy Plaza on 24/6/09 for one night only, booked through an online agent and paid only 19 euros room only, inclusive of taxes!!!!! The hotel was hard to find as I had to ask locals for prper directions. The hotel lurks behind a bigger building that had a huge billbard on it with the street name.... more
