I booked a double room via Expedia, and checked in at this hotel. Overall impression is good given the location, check in was quick. But the room was very small. Breakfast was good but very busy. Parking is across the street and get your car park ticket validated for discount at the Reception.

I stayed at Academy Plaza for one night recently, and for a flying tourist visit to Dublin it is an ideal hotel. If you get the airbus from the airport to the city there's a stop just outside the hotel (Upper O'Connell if I remember correctly), and then you're less than a minute's walk to O'Connell Street and the sightseeing... We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Lisa on the front desk was very helpful. We booked a room online only to find that it was the size of a closet. Great for one person but not two. Lisa switched us to a bigger room the next night. That was good except that the shower was for handicapped accessible... More

I get the impression that this is a busy, high-turnover hotel. We booked months in advance and yet found ourselves in Room 210, which is little better than a cupboard and overlooks a pub with a large TV screen. We asked to move and they couldn't manage it that evening (apart from an internal room) but we got a free... More

Very Nice and friendly staff. Good location near to shopping and alot other things. Clean hotel and rooms. Tasty breakfast. I slept like a baby. It's my fourth stay at this hotel and it's not the last.

Just across the road from the 747 Airport shuttle bus stop and around the corner from a couple of decent restaurants, this hotel proved just perfect for our four day visit. The reception was welcoming, the room perfectly clean and comfortable, the breakfast was first rate in both variety and quality and the evening menu suited us after a hard... More

Stayed here for 3 nights recently during a trip to Dublin. We had a lovely family room which was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel was perfect - very central but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice and time to enjoy it. Would... I stayed with my family in Dublin for the week-end. The hotel is very close to all Dublin's tourist attractions, a few steps of O'Connel St. For a fee, it has a nice breakfast, a decent lobby area, European standards. Rooms are quite small to my taste; however, if you only need your hotel to sleep at night, this is... More

Hotel was located right off a popular street. Far enough away from the noise but walking distance to train, shopping and food. Sorry but apparently I forgot to take some photos of the room. My son and I are gluten free and they Accommodated us each morning with gluten free bread! Clean room, safe location and friendly staff!
