A good friend who stayed here before recommended this hotel for us on our first visit. We were very glad he told us about this hotel. We arrived by bus from the airport and were let off at the Heuston Station. This is a short walk across a bridge and was no problem with our luggage. We used Heuston station... More

‘Great Location’ The Ashling is located on the Liffey, opposite the Guinness Brewery, a 10 minute walk away and a 20 min walk to Dublins O’Connell Street, or if you prefer hop on the tram at a cost of €1.60 to the centre, it passes the hotel entrance. The ‘Hop on Hop of' Dublin City Tour bus has a stop... More

we stayed for 5 nights, 2 before our trip then 3 nights after. We did discuss moving closer to the Center..but the hotel was quiet the restaurant and breakfast were also great. We stayed in a double which was clean and well maintained (although no view-just mary poppins roof tops). On our second stay we requested a second room. The... More

After soliciting advice from TA contributors, I booked a room at the Ashling. The main reason I chose the hotel was its easy access to the airport. As other reviewers have pointed out, the Airlink Bus stops nearby and Heuston Station is right across the street. It took 15-20 minutes to walk to the center of the city. My room... More

We stayed for one night here recently; very easy to get to from the airport, there's a 747 blue Airlink Bus that goes into the city centre and the last stop is Heuston Station which is 60 seconds walk from the hotel. Upon entry we were impressed with the reception and lobby area; modern and cool. We couldn't check in... More

Since my last review I have stayed at the Ashling hotel a few times, and my opinion changed. Fist of all you have to know that the hotel consists of two buildings, the old one at the back and a new one- from the fasade. The quality of the rooms differs- like 3* (Standard Room) and 4* ( Superior Room).... More

We recently spent a total of 4 nights here (1 before a tour and 3 afterwards) and were allocated lovely rooms with views of the park and the River Liffey on both occasions. Rooms were of a good size, very clean and with comfortable beds. The staff were all very professional and helpful and always cheerful - especially the lovely... More

Huge hotel, a bit aseptic. Used to be a Best&Western I think. We got a suite, this is perhaps why we had an enormous bathroom with a wonderful big shower on a side, and a bath on the opposite side. All comforts, not too noisy, even if near the rail station, with the tram also passing near by (practical to... More

I stayed in Ashling Hotel with my partner in January this year. We booked Super King room and it was great. Room was big and very clean. We had a great river view as I requested.
