We stayed for 3 nights in a standard room. It was cozy for two of us and bathroom was also nice. My Hubby complained that he did not sleep well because of the bed, too hard. We stayed on level 4, view was just trees and also few houses. Overall I'm happy with room 409. We had breakfast just once.... More

Having read Louise H's review below about the Fusion Tea experience, I have to say I share her thoughts. I too experienced the Fusion Afternoon Tea in Clontarf Castle recently and was equally disappointed - not so much with the actual quality of the food (which is of a very high standard) but more so with the fact that the... Beautiful hotel, possibly the finest bathroom and best breakfast I've experienced in a hotel. Great character. Restaurant fayre is of a high quality, huge portions and by Dublin standards reasonably priced. Staff are well trained courteous and smart. Only reasons I objectively withheld a full 5 is the lack of on site spa facilities which I believe would have been... More

Just returned to the U.K this evening after spending 2 nights at the beautiful Clontarf Castle and needed to write a review to express how lovely everything about it was! All the staff were so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much bother. The decor was simply beautiful, a mix of modern and traditional, we... More

Loved this hotel and will be back. Room was spotless with a huge bed for a standard double room. Staff at check-in and check-out were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was worth the stay here alone, fabulous spread of food and anything we had was delicious. Only slight negative was getting a late residents drink after... More

This was a treat for my 50th Birthday I would definitely recommend it , a great experience staff were excellent , we were served by Mandi and Michelle who were very attentive. The explanation of the different types of tea was a nice touch.

The castle doesn't have much of anything old about it. The tower looks original but the rooms certainly are not. It's added on and the rooms are honestly smaller than a Super 8 or budget hotel. Check in was smooth and everything looked promising and then we got to our tiny room at the end of the hall on the... More

Stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly, he room was comfortable, although a bit too warm for us and difficult to turn heating down. The bathroom lovely, breakfast good. It is outside the centre Wih a 20 minute bus ride, but we stayed here as close to family. But that said would still... More
