We were not looking forward to our stay here having read some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised with some aspects of the hotel The reception, dining room and public rooms are lovely- all black and gold with stunning chandeliers and lights, a kind of French Baroque style- really impressive. We were given the key to our room... More

2nd time I have stayed here on a trip to Ireland for the football. Rooms are fine and location great. There is a huge nightclub on the bottom and 2nd floor so if you want a nice quit hotel you will need to stay elsewhere. If you are happy with noise or want to party tot he early hours and... More

We knew that the hotel had two nightclubs so were prepared for noise.we knew that we'd be out fairly late and would be having a drink ourselves so we didn't mind.I did request one of the quieter room if possible but didn't expect to be treated so well.we arrived and the receptionist was so polite and then a lovely man... I'm lying in room 33 for the third night of what is meant to be a relaxing break at 1.19am and as yet I cannot possibly sleep due to the music from the club below. I booked via Booking.comwhere it said there could be noise as is a City centre hotel and has a beer garden. At no point did... More

This is my most difficult review to write to date. I have to be fair to the hotel and I have to be fair to TripAdvisor readers who turn to these pages for unprejudiced reviews. Many of those first time reviewers that have contributed before me on these pages have grounds for complaint but the objective seems to be to... More

We stayed in this hotel on a Monday and Tuesday night, the nightclub was really loud but this was the only fault we could find as our room was lovely and big we were on the 4th floor and overlooking the street, the council are out cleaning from very early in the morning so not much chance of a lie... We stayed overnight on a Friday night 26/9/14, arriving at 11am the staff let us have a drink even though the bar at that time wasn't open and within 10 mins told us our room was ready. We stayed in room 111 more than pleased with our room and couldn't fault it, the reception staff were more than helpful and... More

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were extremely unhelpful, the room was shabby and the carpet frankly disgusting (I'd advise to keep your socks on), the bathroom was terrible (any hotel that nails their utilities to the wall is obviously far from four star). From the time I arrived at 8:00pm the music was blaring until... More
