I was traveling for business just outside of Dublin City and needed to stay in close enough in proximity to the office to take public transportation but not deprive myself of some Irish culture. The Grand Hotel had amazing rates for business travelers during this time of year. The accommodations were very nice, the service was top notch and the... more

Stayed there for one night in March 09 and was very pleased with my stay except the minor hiccup at my arrival, when my room wasn't ready up until 16:00, claiming that the previous night they were fully booked. Exhausted after a 3 hours train trip and another one on the DART, I was a little frustrated with the situation.... more

Got upgraded to an Executive Suite at no extra cost....nice sea view -) Room only so can't comment on food in the hotel but plenty to choose from within a short walk. Location is superb, close to the village of Malahide, easy access N1, 10 mins from airport with the DART available to take you into Dublin. Safe to walk at night there are numerous restaurants and Gibneys Irish pub within 5 mins, though the hotel dining is also very good. We were greeted by friendly staff the room had views over... more

We use the Grand Hotel in Malahide very regularly for meetings as it is very close to our business and has worked out very well. The Meeting facilities are good and the service is also good. We would have no issues recommending this hotel to other businesses for meetings. more

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Malahide and opted for the Executive Rooms which overlook the Seafront.. Waking up to these spectacular views was well worth the extra few euro... We had a Christening in the hotel restaurant for 17 people and the staff were exceptional meeting all the individual needs from Grandparents to Infants. The views from the restaurant... more

Only back from this hotel and have very mixed views,on one hand you have a great location and fantastic setting. On the other hand you have slack service.
