The public areas of this hotel are quiet nice, but the 2 rooms we stayed in really needed updating. The furniture looks like it has been brought from a charity shop. The shower over the bath is too small to get under (I am only 5' 4"). The rooms are cleanish, but they do need a complete overhaul and update.... More

This room was clean , but that was unfortunately everything positive thing I can say .. The headboard from bed was loose , Towels were not enough in the room and there was no air conditioning . And it was clearly too hot . Unfortunately the window was not to open and the connecting door to the next room was... More

I booked 12 of us into Tara Towers for a stag weekend and i was not expecting much for the price we paid. However... what a fantastic place all the lads were over the moon with the hotel, the rooms were big, clean and had good shower. The hotel looks a million times better once you get inside than it... Visited Dublin for a few days break, hotel is a short bus ride from town, worth getting a bus pass. Hotel average, in need of an update in the rooms but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is lovely and some staff friendly and helpful. Would probably stay closer to city centre next time but nothing to do with this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Tara Towers from 12th -15th June while we were over for the ROI v Scotland football match. My brother and his family also stayed as well. It is three stops (Booterstown) down from Landsdowne Road on the Dart. Dublin and Dun Laoghaire and beyond both ways easily accessible via Dart. Also airport link bus... More

awful, people trying to get into your room, apologies from reception re same, promises of being 'looked after' when we came downstairs, only never to see the receptionist again. Bar closed to residents looking for a coke, this is just after half eleven at night. Night receptionist/porter who, initially refused to change a 50 euro note After several words he... More

Stayed for 2 nights with family. Large family room with double & single bed. Tea & coffee provided, toiletries provided also. Breakfast slightly limited on the continental side but you could help yourself to as much as you like. Bar menu was a bit limited also but food was good so no complaints. Staff helpful. DART about a 5 minute... More

Stayed here for 2 nights mid week at the start of june and would definitely recommend it. After reading some reviews i was worried but no need to be. The only downside was the terrible view out of our window which just looked on to a roof but apart from this the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful,... More

Stay away. Only good thing in this hotel is the staff. you have to pay for parking. Allegedly non smoking but stinks of cigarettes. Room was horrible paper thin sheets envelopes for pillows and cobwebs on windows. Door jammed as floor boards are rising.
