The room we stayed in was dirty. Carpet and curtains had disgusting stains and we wore our shoes as we walked around the room. This hotel has clearly not invested in updating and maintaining the rooms. The ground floor is nice and impressive but there is a strong lack of attention to detail elsewhere. The lift was even grubby and... More

My wife and I have used the Tara Towers on a few occasions while in Dublin and each time I say not again. But, as it is close to Blackrock where some of our family live here we are again. The rooms are faded old needing an overhaul. The staff with one exception all need some training in manners. The... More

Overnight stay, room only. Comfortable bed but room needed maintenance. It looked like it had been patched after occupant damage. The bathroom needed a cosmetic overhaul - it just looked dirty although it was not. Great shower but the flimsy shower curtain could barely contain the splashes going out onto the floor. TV remote control needed batteries and the TV... More

Had an executive room for one night which was a good size. Food was excellent. Breakfast wasn't as expected, only got continental when should have been full cooked breakfast. Main kitchen not in until 7 was the excuse even though the hotel new that breakfast was required by coach party for 6am. The bath had a crack in the side... More

I stayed at the Tara Towers Hotel with my husband and my parents over three nights. The staff were amazingly helpful and went out of their way to help and accommodate us when we suddenly needed extra rooms, due to a death in the family. The views from the sixth floor are amazing both on the sea and the mountain... More

We stayed here for two nights with a four night break between them. Our first room at the front of the building was very nice with lovely views over Dublin bay. Twin beds, tea & coffee facilities, television and toilet, sink and bath/shower with complementary toiletries. Brannigans bar was OK and the meal we had was very nice. Buffet breakfast... More

We recently held an 80th birthday party for my Mother at the restaurant in the Tara Towers and a great evening was had by all. Patricia and her team could not be more accommodating beforehand, was very helpful and put the mother's mind at ease beforehand. The food and service was excellent throughout the evening and they had even arranged... More

We were on the third floor in a double room and were very pleased with it as it had a great view overlooking Dublin Bay and we could watch the Ferries leaving the harbour. The room itself was very clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable .We had their evening meal which had quite a reasonable choice with three courses... The first room we were given was a bit dirty and the toilet would not flush properly . We were moved to the one beside it and it was a vast improvement . The only fault I found was that the room was very hot at night as the window did not open fully and I like to sleep with... More
