Nice . retro style hotel. Free entertainment. Good breakfast. Rural location. But close to city. A few problems with booking confirmation due to delay in putting through reservation by booking com. staff managed to rectify in a bit over an hour. room overall good. But some minor issues with cleaning air vents . ( otherwise very clean). staff helpful. Enough.... More

We travelled to Dublin for the first time and stayed here for two nights. Nice hotel. A bit of a distance from the town centre though, which meant either a bus, dart or taxi to the centre and back. Buses take approx 20-25 mins and cost 2.80euros or a taxi is approx 16 euros depending on traffic. According to the... More

We were recommended this hotel by nearby hospital but it's not great, hotel could do with an renovation, room furniture could do with a clean and re-varnished, bed very hard, curtains ripped, in the bathroom the bath was tiny just to fit a child, tissue holder fell off wall, bar food only ok, bar staff not very friendly, smelly around... We stayed overnight in this hotel on Saturday night last. Rooms were very nice although the hotel was a bit worn. Staff were very nice. However you must pay for parking and the breakfast was "uninteresting".

Close to Dublin by train and bus. It was clean and had very little noise even though they had a party in the hotel at the time. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Close to several bars and restaurants that are very accommodating.

We were in a room overlooking the main road but although we had to open the window because of the heat, there was not too much intrusion of noise. The room was spacious, clean, basic and all fittings worked. Free HiFi connection was only available in the public areas but it worked. Evening meal of chowder and beef burger was... More

Stayed here last weekend - I was so worried by the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfy. Hotel room was clean, staff were polite and helpful and only 5 minute walk to the dart train to get into town. It's a cheap and cheerful hotel. You get what you pay for and I was more than... More

This seems to be the hotel of choice to many tour operators ( not sure why ) Rooms are as tired as the last time we stayed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Iron/trouser press. TV bathroom with bath shower and WC. The hotel is located conveniently for the ferry terminal and Dublin City centre with bus stop right outside the gate. Staff... More

I was at Tara Towers on business. The rooms were clean and nice if a little dated (but who has money to update in these times). My one bug bear was the WiFi it was slow and kept cutting out. So from a business user point of view it was very annoying. Apart from that I enjoyed the stay and... More

On arrival to this hotel we paid our €5 euro daily charge to park our car, which in itself is bad because you are charged to be on the hotels private grounds. Unfortunately the machine took our money but did not dispense a ticket. On informing reception they took our reg no and said it wouldn't be a problem. There... More
