We stayed at the Mespil for two nights recently, during our first stay in dublin. Fab, we loved it. We arrived prior to the recommended check in time, but were found a non smoking room, 'executive, excellent size, very clean, and all dealt with by a friendly and efficient receptionist. Breakfast was busy with a small que to be seated,... More

Stayed here in July. The location is central enough for Dublin. The huge attraction to this hotel is that the rooms are spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only negative side to it is parking for those guests with cars as the car park was small and full. Although there was plenty of parking on the street.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a excellent buy and in a good location if you do not mind a good walk. We stayed during the week and it was very quiet. I had to look twice at the bill because the price was so reasonable. We highly recommend this hotel and we would defiantly stay... More

This is the third place I stayed during a week in Dublin, and is the one I'd go back to if I had to pick one. It's decent enough, but I resent paying over 100 euro a night (one person, excluding breakfast) without getting a bit more than that. What's right? The staff on reception were good and efficient. I... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April 2006 (Thurs-Sun). Rooms were very clean. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Staff were as friendly as you could possibly get. Cafe just around the corner. Petrol station in same road. Newsagents just around the corner. Pub at end of the road - within 2 minute walk. Loads and loads of pubs on... More

My husband and I stayed at the Mespil for the last 2 nights of our whirlwind trip around Ireland. We were pleased with the room and breakfast and the parking for our car was a godsend. We walked into town and back several times...no problem at all. Stopped in many pubs along the way. My husband had not been back... More

Good enough hotel but a good walk from centre at least 20mins and when its pouring of rain and you cant get a taxi its a nightmare. Breakfast was good however we had to wait 15mins in a queue to be sat (bank holiday). Rooms adequate.

We have just spent three days at the Mespil Hotel having read some reviews before we travelled I was a little apprehensive. I need not have worried the Hotel was very clean throughout and the rooms were lovely. I booked two double rooms but we had a double and single bed in both rooms loads of room and a lovely... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights in the Mespil and would happily reccomend it. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and even though the hotel is sitauted a little way outside the city centre it is only a pleasant 15 minute walk up to St Stephens Green/Grafton Street. Breakfast is ok, if I was going again I... More

Seven of us stayed at the Mespil Hotel over St Patricks weekend. We were able to check into our room at 9am - very much appreciated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy walk or bus ride into centre, buses run v regularly. Several local pubs around the corner to eat or drink in. Hotel bar and food great too.... More
