Recently stayed for two nights in this hotel. As mentioned by the hotel website there is some construction work ongoing. We stayed in a twin executive room on the 5th floor with a double and single bed. Bathroom is nice and large with walk in wet room shower. Slight lack of pressure but this could be due to ongoing work.... More

Thank you for your recent review of the Mespil Hotel Dublin. Lovely to hear that you had an enjoyable two day stay and experienced the new Executive Rooms on the 5th floor, which only opened 2 weeks ago. Apologies about the TV not working on arrival, but thankfully all was working the following day. The location impressed you close to... More

Great location just outside the city centre of Dublin. Not too far away from St Stephens Green and the shopping precinct of Grafton Street. The rooms at the Mespil are of great size and all made to feel very welcoming. I asked for a special request in our room and it was met without any fuss. Staff all great and... More

Yes, the front of the hotel is modern, as the hotel's website shows, but the Mespil hotel is a collection of older buildings, joined with a maze of corridors. The hotel's website shows a room that looks far nicer than ours; however, our room (two twin beds) was spacious and the bathroom even had two large old windows that opened... More

The hotel is currently going through refurbishment which will be completed over the coming weeks and many of your concerns will be addressed with this upgrade. The hotel... More

Don't stay in this hotel unless you are a sober monk who goes to bed at 8pm. I was threatened with gardai after supposedly making too much noise when I was coming in after a night out, a Saturday night. I was about to lie down when (I presume a member of hotel staff) banged on my door and demanded... More

Hotel in the middle of renovation at present, but welcome was warm. Location excellent, walking distance from anywhere in city centre. Good sized rooms well furnished. Of particular use here is the free off-street parking, especially when you know that the road outside is the second busiest in Dublin for clampers!

Stayed at the Mespil for the first time Jan 2016 .. The hotel in fairness is having extensive renovations and reception staff had to shout over the noise while I was checking-in... Not a good start .. My room was excellent bright, clean with all the extras loved it..Terrace Bar . Good pint of Guinness but bar staff as "dour... More

Thank you for your recent review of the Mespil Hotel Dublin. Good to read that you had a comfortable stay and yes as we are in the middle of refurbishment so on occasion the ‘welcome’ is matched with a little additional background noise. However once the restaurant is open next weekend it will add greatly to customer satisfaction. All your... More

2nd time staying in this hotel and I'll come back again. Stayed on a Saturday night for one night. My room was considerably more up to date than the corridors leading to it - thankfully. Restaurant was closed due to renovation work. I ate out - plenty of choices. My room was particularly noisy between 7:45 and 8:15 each morning. I think the cleaning staff gathered outside my room to prepare themselves for the day. Good location for my... More

Stayed here for a night in December. Disappointed there was no parking on site as the carpark was full. Had to drive around balls bridge for 10mins trying to find a spot. Anyway check in went smooth and the lady behind the desk upgraded us to an "executive suite". Happy enough with that - maybe it was because we were... More

Thank you for your recent review of the Mespil Hotel Dublin. Delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in our new Executive rooms.
