This hotel was clean, had a great buffet for breakfast, and was within walking distance to many types of activities - near Trinity College, 1-2 miles from the Liffey, Guinness Storehouse, and Jameson Distillery. Although Dublin was overrun with tourists in July, we had a great time. This hotel served all of our purposes, and if you don't like walking,... More

After a week in B &Bs, this was a nice change. Staff was excellent and the room was nice. Location very close to everything. Very nice bar and open late. Nice to come back to after a long day. Would definitely stay here again next time I am in Dublin.

I stayed here for 2 nights on business. Overall I had a nice quiet stay. The outside of the hotel and reception area are very traditional looking. Checkin was quick. The rooms themselves are large but pretty basic. The bathroom had a bathtub and some toiletries. It was convenient that the rooms had European outlets. The Internet wasn't very good... More

The O'Callaghan Davenport in Dublin was our first stop on our 10 day trip across Ireland. What a fabulous hotel...our room was lovely (our only other hotel in Ireland that had Air conditioning!!) The staff were beyond friendly. Edie (I apologize for spelling her name wrong) welcomed us right away at registration and went above and beyond, in my opinion,... More

I was very pleased with my stay here. Arriving on a red-eye, I was glad to find a quiet room (as requested) waiting for me to freshen up before heading out for some meetings. The room was very comfortable and clean; the staff warm and friendly. The free wifi was exceptionally fast for a hotel service. The only (minor) difficulty... More

The Davenport Hotel in Dublin, Ireland was first class all the way. The service and service personnel were more than amicable and there to help at all times. The reception and bar personnel were more than helpful and always with a smile. The accommodations and public areas were pristine but pillows in beds could have been better. Breakfast buffet was... We stayed at the O'Callaghan Davenport for my wife's 40th birthday. I rang in advance to ask for a quiet room and organise a bottle of champagne to be waiting for us on arrival. The hotel could not have been more helpful, when we arrived they had upgraded our room to a junior suite. What a lovely surprise. Breakfast was... More

The staff at the hotel are exceptional - so gracious and helpful. The airlines lost our bags and they were very helpful with calling the airport over the two days until the bags arrived. The hotel is somewhat dated but it is very lovely with beautiful wood furniture pieces. The rooms are very generous and the king sized bed is... More
