Staff friendly. Room very clean and great sized bed. Overall the hotel interior needs an upgrade. Smell of smoke in the corridor which was unusual as it's a no smoking policy in all rooms. Breakfast buffet presentation could be better and again needs a bit of a revamp.

The room was as advertised, with a comfy bed, roomy space (we paid a bit more for that), and was in a good location. The bathroom was clean. There was an electric teakettle for making coffee or tea, which was a nice treat. The room has no fridge regularly, but when we asked, the provided us with one. (The hotel... More

Returned for one night on an overnight business trip to the city. Check in was efficient and. Room had plenty of room and clean with a small TV (had to call reception as there was no remote control - it was delivered within minutes), iron and iron board, trouser press and safe. The bed (2x twins locked together) was comfortable,... More

This was our second visit to the Davenport. Rooms are comfortable, staff welcoming, restaurant has good food, great tea, and great service. Andre at the reception desk was particularly welcoming. Looking forward to another stay at the Davenport.

Just a few yards from the statue of Oscar Wilde, this comfortable hotel meets all the needs of the visitor who wants to maximise his time in Dublin. The rooms are good, service is good, food is good. Within walking distance of Trinity College and the hopon/hop off open top buses.

This was the hotel Windstar Cruises used for our July 2014 Dublin-to-Edinburgh pre-cruise extension. Excellent location within easy walk of Trinity College, shopping, Temple Bar, parks, museums, hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Hotel has some nice classic touches, but it's looking pretty tired around the edges (worn furniture, etc.). Nice "standard" room with comfy king bed and great housekeeping. Although advertised "air... More

Irish welcoming and stylish rooms. Good for a couple willing to visit Dublin. Just aside the Oscar Wilde house (now an American school) and at the corner of Marrion square it is at walking distance from Trinity College (to be visited absolutely with an extraordinary Library, do not miss the Book of Kells) Not far from Grafton street for high... My wife and I stayed here for two nights, and were made to fee welcome by the staff. The hotel is located in the heart of Dublin with easy access to most attractions in Dublin. The rooms were nice and large, but perhaps a bit dated. The morning breakfast was delicious, but perhaps a bit pricey. We enjoyed our stay... More

I stayed as part of a large group over a busy weekend in July.
