This is a review of the Poplar Suite, which is room 201. The checkin was fast and efficient, and we were not treated any differently when we arrived by 46A bus from Upper O'Connell Street towards Dun Laoghaire (get off at Fosters Avenue/return bus is from Stillorgan Road opposite, it takes all of 30 minutes). There were lots of nice... More

I got married earlier this month and we had a dinner for family at this hotel and a function in the evening. From beginning to end, the day was flawless. The food was wonderful and the service discreet and efficient. We had a comfortable dining room exclusively for our party which allowed us to relax and really enjoy the meal.... More

Very stylish hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was ready for a mid morning check in after a long flight which was a great help.Rooms are spacious and employes are friendly and helpful. On site bar that serves light meals and full restraunt where service was slow. Major downside was that hotel is out side of the downtown but on... More

A true luxury hotel. Lots of marble and brass. Nice and quiet. A little on the expensive side. Try out the Italian restaurant. Beautiful gardens. No pool onsite but has an exercise room. Don't expect any nightlife parties.

Stayed here for just one night with my husband. We had a beautiful business class room which was decorated in a style that was in keeping with the original building. It was very spacious with a sitting room and separate bedroom. Board games in the room were a lovely touch and we enjoyed a game of Trivial Pursuit on our... More

Room was ready when we arrived which was an hour before normal check-in. Had to change rooms as the suite given was quite small and not ideal for 2 adults and a child so were moved at no extra costs to a very large room which had a separate sitting area. Good location, plenty of parking and the grounds were... More

I hadn't visited the hotel for a few years and myself and my wife dropped by last Saturday and had just wanted to have a drink in the lounge. We took a seat alongside a table with a selection of used plates and cutlery containing half eaten food. We sat for 5 mins, 10 mins, and finally after 15 we... More

We had a wonderful few days in this hotel..gorgeous setting and excellent service..in particular thanks to Catriona McGroary who looked after us so well. There was a great athmosphere in the Orangerie bar and I enjoyed a top-class treatment in the beauty rooms there. We will definitely be back!!

Stayed on the 23 Aug. From the outset the hotel lacked a level of customer care. When booking in we looked to book the restaurant and was told it is booked out and they would see what they could do.(That would be fine if we hadn't booked a meal inclusive rate). Please ask customers to book the restaurant when making... More

Very comfortable hotel, excellent service. Rooms are wonderful and breakfast was very good. Dinner was a little disappointing, it was quiet, maybe most people eat out? Afternoon tea in the conservatory was excellent and very popular. will stay here again.
