Staff was helpful and friendly. Hostel was clean. Facilities were great. (I still haven't had the chance to use the sauna yet-because of my own schedule.) Good locker system. Good value. Great location. Very lively and open vibe throughout.

Location: Perfect for those not driving. Virtually on the bus route from the airport to the city centre. Short walk to Connolly station where you can get trams, DART and inter-city trains. Not a million miles from the city centre. Facilities: Communal areas are ok but very busy, which can be a plus or a negative depending on your point... More

Overall my stay is probably best described as average as there are some things that they were excellent at, and some that definitely need improving. When we checked in, we were told our room number and given our receipts. That was it, no offer of a free map (which I ended up just grabbing for myself the next day), no... More

I stayed at Isaacs for 6 nights. I'm a solo traveller in my 30s and thought I'd save some $$ for hotels later in my trip by opting for backpackers for the first week. I think in hindsight I should've saved the extra and gone to a hotel instead. Isaac's is a fun, loud, boisterous place for teens to 20... More

Being of a thrifty mindset I opted for a booking at Isaacs Hostel rather than lining the pockets of a major hotel chain. I would definitely suggest booking here if you're young, as part of a large group and looking for a brilliant location (close to O'Connell St, Connolly Station and the Liffey) as it has everything you could hope... Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm. Such a lively hostel, with a great atmosphere, but you wouldn't know that once you stepped into the dorm room. The only noise that ever disturbed me in the room was the creaky floor. A train passed occasionally, but wasn't loud at all. Most of the staff were extremely helpful, and they were... More

Overall: Would only stay again if it were not summer Stayed in a 2 bed private room. Great location about 10 min walk from Temple bar - not too far but far enough for a quiet night's rest. Hostel is very clean, GREAT kitchen area and very welcoming common area as soon as you come in (Reminded me fleetingly of... More

Thanks for your review - sorry about the lack of fans - we don't need them 11 months of the year and then suddenly we need them everywhere. However your suggestion about fans for the 3rd floor is excellent and I will bring it up at our meeting on Monday/ More

Isaacs is a 10 minute walk to the Temple Bar area and across the street from Connolly Station as well as the bus and tram terminal. Isaacs is a very friendly hostel, lots of people hanging out in the lobby/lounge area. Wifi only works in the lounge/lobby area so that may have been why. The rooms are not ventilated at... More

Thanks for your review - we do try and make Isaacs the kind of place you get to meet people. We are looking at better ways to ventilate the place - it's not usually that hot in Dublin!! More
