The Townhouse occupies a spot somewhere between hostel and Hotel and the price per person reflects that. It is situated perfectly for the town centre and is really easy to get to and from. The building looks deceptively small but once inside there is quite a warren of corridors and stairs and a little lift. The rooms are fine, basic... More

Had a wonderful stay at the Townhouse last week. All of the staff were great, but David in particular was very friendly, helpful, and informative. He gave us lots of tips about where to eat what sights to see, and helped book us on a day tour to Blarney. The room was a little old and not very fancy, but... More

David thanks for making our stay enjoyable and helping book our tours, we were more than satisfied with our stay, your welcoming personality and willingness to help us find our way around Ireland will bring us back, very comfortable rooms, a bit noisy but overall pretty good, the trouble sisters... Very nice and clean rooms, good beds and fantastic location! Very helpful and kind staff. They told me about the excursions in Ireland that they did, gave us advise about which one were nice and they were very good in organizing the excursions. The only thing I didn't like was that the room was a bit noisy. But I absolutely... More

The Townhouse is an excellent stay. The location is perfect for walking anywhere in Dublin Central. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are good for the price. Very nice décor and style with an elegant breakfast room and sitting room. The building does back onto a pub, so the nights are a bit noisy. Bring your ear... More

My son and I stayed at the Townhouse for two nights. We enjoyed the central location, comfortable room and the good, cheap breakfast. I'm vegan and there was plenty to choose from. We walked to O'Connell Street, Smithfield, Henry Street, Grafton street and Temple Bar. The bathroom was tiny and there was some noise from the street from early morning... More

First room I was given was next to main street, so I asked to be moved and got room in the newer section. Older rooms are dated; rooms in new section are much better. However, it's next to the back alley of the bar/resto 2 doors down. There was raucous partying each night - it was past 2am my second... More

We took the local bus because we arrived so early from the States. fare around 3 euros--get ticket from kiosk if you have a five euro or less.. Information will... More

Arrived to friendly staff and a quirky interior. Quick turnaround to get booked in. Breakfast is €5 if not booked with room. Great taste. Unfortunately, hit and miss with rooms. Ours overlooked a noisy generator and street. People are chatting in the day and till at least 12:30am. Asked to be moved, were told hotel was fully booked and to... More
