We were generally satisfied with our stay at Anchor House, the place is a nice building with comfortable rooms and beds. The staff are pleasant and keen to help with any need. We flew with only hand luggage so the fact they provided towels and toiletries as well as a hair dryer when asked was a bonus. Breakfast is generally... More

First of all, this is a straight up, no frills B&B (book direct, breakfast is free if you do, rather than the pretty extortionate €8 for sausage, egg, bacon and beans!). Contrary to previous reviews, did not think the area was sketchy at all; in fact, it's on a road littered with guest houses, hostels, etc. Personally think previous reviewers... More

It is right across the street from paddy wagon tours so convienent. We enjoyed this hotel! Close to everything and affordable. Not too noisy, back rooms were in the new hotel area so it was quiet. I would stay again!

If you are going to Dublin avoid this guest house. It is not as it is advertised. I expected a small Georgian house furnished accordingly. Even the antiques are dull. The only real antique was the stairs up to the top storey where an ugly ladder was placed outside. The ladder was in case of emergency eg a fire. Heaven forbids... More

Our last three night in Ireland after three weeks of touring and 8 different accomodations. Two retired couples who have travelled extensively & want a central city location that is ecomomical, clean, comfortable & has good wifi. The Anchor guest house met those criteria. Dublin is expensive for central accommodations. I had booked this B&B in August for a November... More

The bed and breakfast is very close to the all the shops/ pubs and restaurants! The breakfast was yummy and has very friendly staff too! The rooms were fairly basic but very clean and tidy and has a lovely front room with an open fire to keep you warm on the winter days! I would definitely stay again, Highly recommend... More

Anchor House Dublin is a charming hotel centrally located in downtown Dublin. It's probably a ten minute walk to most places you would want to see and easily accessible by the airport shuttle. One of the things that we really liked about Anchor House was its presentation. High ceilings, large private rooms, and a cute little dining area added to... More

Excellent central location, we had a room towards the back of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, most staff very helpful and polite, one of the ladies that served us breakfast was quite abrupt and she was very rude to my friend when she was trying to check out. All the other staff were really friendly though. The... More

Had a great stay here. From the 2 young lads that work the night shift to the cleaners, everyone was so helpful. The couple that run it are delightful. We were first given a twin room facing the street....not ideal but after 3 nights I asked if there was another room away from the noise of the street and was... More
