On main O'Connell Street leading to the River Liffey - perfect location for coach from airport (6 Euros each way) - stops just down from the hotel. Lovely foyer with restaurant & bar area with comfy sofas and lighting. Recommended the cream tea for 18 Euros - 2 girlies shared one though. Rooms lovely - nice bathroom with toiletries, tea... More

Stayed here on my recent vacation to Ireland. Hotel is part of what you might call Dublin's old side. Hotel has been there for a long time and is central to the Irish War with England. Great location by day but a little dodge by night, great staff and nice old feeling about the hotel.

We had three rooms on the first floor, two overlooking O'Connell Street. Each room was very clean, good size updated bathrooms. A little noise from the street on Friday evening, but we were in the heart of a large city. I expected this. The best thing about our three days there was the outstanding service from the porters desk. Eugene... More

This hotel is in a great area of Dublin right on the main drag just north of the river - an easy walk to many attractions like Trinity College, the Writers Museum, the Post Office, Abbey Theatre, etc. It's like a graceful lady from another era right in the middle of town. It's lovely, huge and elegant, with a nice... More

Just back from the Gresham with my daughter. We booked a Double Double room- 2 huge queen size beds. The Lavery Rooms are apparently the upgraded rooms. They were fine but definitely not luxurious, we did have the robes and slippers which were great for getting ready etc in the evening..The bathroom was very spacious with bath and shower and lots... As an old hotel it has a certain amount of charm in the entry ways and public areas. Location in the heart of downtown is convenient. However, our room was average; the carpet was worn bare in spots. We had no hot water in the sink and it took 10 minutes to get tepid water for a shower. The room was... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in may 2009 and it was a great locatoin. We walked everywhere and some of the tour buses stopped right outside the hotel. The first room we were in was nothing special and pretty small so we asked for a better room and they gave us a much better one. We never ate there,... More

Stayed at the Gresham for one night - got a brilliant deal from Travelzoo. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good. Our evening meal in Toddy's Bar was very tasty and reasonably priced. Hotel Room was clean-nothing out of the ordinary. The location of the Gresham has to be its best feature - shops, tourist attractions, Temple... More

Over the last number of years, I have had the pleasure of staying in the Gresham several times. Each time I have stayed there I have thoroughly enjoyed my trip. The location is excellent for shopping and sightseeing in Dublin. It is close the airport bus and the Luas (tram-line) whcih will take you to Heuston Train Station. The front... More

We stayed in the Gresham twice before, firstly for its location. Its within minutes from the very busy Henry Street shopping area and also easy walking distance to Grafton Street.. The hotel rooms are nicely decorated and rooms are a good size and kept very clean. There is a good choice of food served all day in the bar area... More
