A beautiful old hotel complete with crystal chandelier and an old fashioned reception dest and the name in the stonework above the door, Great location, nice breakfast, nice and clean but clearly dated rooms. They are in the midst of a face lift, especially in the reception area. The dining area is clean and bright and the food good, especially... More

My parents visited me in Dublin over the Easter holidays and they stayed in the Gresham. I was vowed when they told me that they would stay there, as I knew the reputation of the hotel. However, their experience was not the best. My parents and I have travelled a lot in Europe and stayed in a variety of hotels.... More

Been to Dublin 9 times and always visit the Gresham for a Bailey's Coffee because it is simply the best anywhere! The atmosphere in the bar is lovely... so relaxed you could sit there all evening. The staff are friendly and we always finish our evening off here to wind down ready for bed.

Stayed here 18/4/15, so expensive! We expected plush surroundings and room, this wasn't the case. Granted there was refurbishment being carried out (which we were not informed then booking!), there was an awful smell around the reception area and the carpet was worn generally dowdy. The hotel lacks soul, has no personality at all, very tired decor throughout, not 4*... More

Myself and my husband stayed in the Gresham last weekend for a break away. The location is brilliant and so central for shopping and sightseeing. Our Lavery room was so spacious and had a large bathroom with separate bath and shower with all the extras you would need. It's definitely worth the extra few euro. The staff are all very... More

My husband and I stayed for two night, 7th and 8th April. I did not think they could have treated us better than they did on our last visit, but they did. All the staff are so helpful and pleasant, making you feel very welcome. Another big plus is the convenience of the hotel to all the tourist attractions, shops... More

We stayed at the Gresham and loved the location. It was a grand hotel with a grand ambience. The downside for me was the staff weren't particularly friendly, construction going on, and one night the fire alarm continued to wake us. We went down to the front desk and they informed us it was false alarms. They were frantic but... More

Dear kpWheaton Thank you for your review following your stay at The Gresham Hotel. I do apologise if the fire alarm activation caused you any inconvenience. This was caused by a guest overflowing a bath in a third floor bedroom, which went into the heat sensor in the room below. Whilst the alarms only rang for a moment and the... More

We spent our anniversary weekend at where else but The Gresham. It was the weekend of Easter as it was when we married so was extra special. We could not fault the attention we received and all the little extra something's that are really unexpected but welcome. It was a busy time on O'Connell street as events were taking place.... More

On arrival I was aware of some building works in the lobby with loud drilling which was clearly irritating the reception staff. Due to the noise I requested a quiet room.My room on the top(5th) floor initially appeared to be relitely quiet until approx 03.00.It was then that the first of 4 fire alarms sounded. At approx .06.00 I was again...
