Dee the receptionist who I dealt with before our stay, was most pleasant, cooperative and friendly. On arrival Mary (I think) the receptionist apologised for our room not being ready but pointed us in the direction of the lounge bar where she invited us to have a complimentary drink!! She also remembered that it was my husband's birthday and wished... More

This was the second time I had stayed at Buswells. On the first occasion I had a couple of issues and my review on trip advisor reflected these. However every venue deserves a second chance so finding myself in Dublin again at the end of January I decided to take up the managers challenge and put Buswells to the test... More

Stayed for two days. It's been recently renovated and is full of character. Our room was big and super clean. Great mattresses. Good TV with plenty of stations. Very friendly reception and a quiet nights sleep. We'll be back as the location is superb, near Grafton St and Stephen's Green.

We called here for something to eat after the rugby. We were sitting near the cigarette machine but I could not get any (as I'm setting a good example for my children 😆). I asked the reception staff/manager could he get me cigarettes but they point blank refused 😠 STRAIGHT AFTER this I bought my kids to the toilet THE... More

Dear Dubgas, Thank you for you review. As you can imagine we are very disturbed by it. I believe having conducted interviews with all male members of staff on duty on Sunday evening that you left some pertinent detail from your account of events. You went to reception to ask where you could get cigarettes and you were told there... More

I froze to death in this hotel which had no heat in the rooms, and the staff and service was just as cold. They say they only turn the heat off from 10PM to 5AM but I never felt it and froze at night. I had to wear long underwear, thick sweater and wool sock booties I bought in Nepal!... More

Dear NevadaCityGirl, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. It is disappointing to read that you were less than satisfied with your stay and checked out earlier than planned. I am having your rooms heating inspected so as to prevent any other guest having a cold room. The team here are always disappointed when we fail in... More

Buswells gets excellent reviews from most people and has a certificate of excellence from Trip Adviser. All the more surprising then that we were very disappointed with our stay and would have given the hotel lower ratings but for the actions of the duty manager before we left. First the positives. The hotel is well located in the centre of... More

I was there for business for 3 days. Chose this place for its central location and proximity to the airport bus stop. The building has a lot of charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable although it was a bit cold when I arrived and difficult to heat. Good breakfast.

WE had a triple room for myself, wife and adult daughter. The room was on the smallish size, but very clean & tidy. The dining room was elegant and very inviting, with a very good choice on the menu. Situated in the heart of Dublin, access to all on offer was easy and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Buswells to all tourists.

I have stayed in Buswells many times with girl friends and I love staying there. This time I went with my husband and two other couples. They all loved it also. Stayed overnight at Buswell's. Check in was efficient. Room was good enough size for two although furniture showed its age. However bathroom nice and clean, plenty of towels plus toiletries. Our room looked on to Kildare St. No double glazing so road noise apparent in the morning. However we slept well in a very comfortable bed. We had bar food... More
