Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. I asked to stay in one of the upgraded rooms - I wouldn't have liked to have seen the others! Don't get me wrong it was acceptable but basic. There was no rail in the wardrobe. The bed wasn't that comfortable but it was spotlessly clean. The shower was blocked but when I... More

I stayed here for the weekend with friends. Average hotel and location is good as It is close to the luas which goes into the city. For the price we paid for a city location it was ok. The lady at reception was friendly and had a room for us when we arrived at 11am even though check in doesn't... More

The hotel needs work. First the absence of Internet/WIFI in the rooms is incomprehensible today. Easy to do, inexpensive, but none here. Reception controls the heat, and I was always cold. I had to go down to reception several times to ask that they turn the heat on. The showers need replacing, the quality of the soap/shampoo poor and the... More

Dear Chris, We are aware of the restrictions on the free Wifi, However solid walls and high solid ceilings are proving difficult for the boosters but we are working on it... again a preservation order on the building restricts what can do. we do apologise if you felt cold, we like to keep the place warm and cosy for all.... The hotel is right outside the Pheonix Park. It is very close to town and there is good public transport. The hotel is small and clean. Parking is public road parking but it can be found and is free at weekends. There is a nice pub around the corner. The rooms are basic. There is a bar. The fittings and... More

Dear Vivzer, Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. We are glad you were happy with your stay. The WIFI is a work in progress, thick solid walls are the issue We hope to see you again soon! Regards Emer More

The Phoenix Park Hotel is a budget Hotel Stayed here twice in the past 15 months & each time my stay has been enjoyable Hotel clean, staff were friendly. Don't listen to the naysayers on this website. You get what you pay for. And the fact is, this is a good budget Hotel.

This hotel has the nicest staff I have nearly ever seen. The room was standard but just what we need and clean. Right Hueston so great for a one night stop over. I would recommend this hotel. Reception area wasn't too big but it was fine.

I assume the owner will say, as for every bad opinion, that we were not lucky, because we stayed in a room that was not refurbished and that now everything is perfect... But the truth is that we booked in advance a "tastefully decorated room", and were given the ugliest room of the hotel (that hadn't been cleaned in days!),... More

Dear Laia, We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us, you did however book a budget room for €89 (one that has yet to be refurbished) We were unable to move you as there was no other room available, again if the room was too big we apologise and hope you visit Dublin again Regards... Accomodation was at a premium in dublin this weekend so this definitely worked out at value for money. The room was recently renovated id say but not 100% finished. All the staff were very friendly. It is central to town...just a quick 5 min walk to the Museum luas stop or even nearer,a bus stop serving town. We didnt eat there so... More

This place was decent value for money. Staff were okay, rooms fairly big and bathrooms seemed quite modern. a reasonable walk into town. Didn't eat at the restaurant. For what you pay this is fine. Not much else to say really!!

I feel I have no choice but to write this review and warn people of what to expect at this hotel. Some of the issues we encountered, 1. No hot water in sink taps or shower at any time during our stay 2. No phone in the room to contact reception with problems 3. No toilet paper in room 5.... More
