Delightful and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Room had TV, + soaps and shampoo. But... not enough plugs in room, no proper heating ( electric heater provided), no hot water before 7a.m., chair broken in room, cracked bathroom sink. It was cheap, and cheap for a reason. On balance though, I would stay there again, just not recommend it to my... More

The view as you travel up to this hotel is not brilliant and doesn't resemble the photos on it's website. The room was basic and smelled of damp and smoke even thought it was a no smoking room. Breakfast was ok but service left quite a lot to be desired and the waitress required training in social skills. Other staff... More

Just back from a two day stay,we were the only two people in the hotel. The hotel is a good location for exploring on foot or by local bus/luas tram. The receptionist was very helpful and knowledgeable, she was also a one man band, as she manned reception, canteen, bar and was chef. There was a blue information folder in our room, but... We were a little concerned as to what we'd let ourselves in for when arriving here after reading all the bad reviews..! However we needn't have worried. My friend and I stayed for one night on Saturday and it was perfect for us. We paid £54 euros for a twin room which we thought was good value. The location is... More

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. I asked to stay in one of the upgraded rooms - I wouldn't have liked to have seen the others! Don't get me wrong it was acceptable but basic. There was no rail in the wardrobe. The bed wasn't that comfortable but it was spotlessly clean. The shower was blocked but when I... More

I stayed here for the weekend with friends. Average hotel and location is good as It is close to the luas which goes into the city. For the price we paid for a city location it was ok. The lady at reception was friendly and had a room for us when we arrived at 11am even though check in doesn't... More

The hotel needs work. First the absence of Internet/WIFI in the rooms is incomprehensible today. Easy to do, inexpensive, but none here. Reception controls the heat, and I was always cold. I had to go down to reception several times to ask that they turn the heat on. The showers need replacing, the quality of the soap/shampoo poor and the... More

Dear Chris, We are aware of the restrictions on the free Wifi, However solid walls and high solid ceilings are proving difficult for the boosters but we are working on it... again a preservation order on the building restricts what can do. we do apologise if you felt cold, we like to keep the place warm and cosy for all.... The hotel is right outside the Pheonix Park. It is very close to town and there is good public transport. The hotel is small and clean. Parking is public road parking but it can be found and is free at weekends. There is a nice pub around the corner. The rooms are basic. There is a bar. The fittings and... More

The Phoenix Park Hotel is a budget Hotel Stayed here twice in the past 15 months & each time my stay has been enjoyable Hotel clean, staff were friendly. Don't listen to the naysayers on this website. You get what you pay for. And the fact is, this is a good budget Hotel.

This hotel has the nicest staff I have nearly ever seen. The room was standard but just what we need and clean. Right Hueston so great for a one night stop over. I would recommend this hotel. Reception area wasn't too big but it was fine.
