I have just come back from a 3 night stay here. I was dubious given the reviews, but it is not that bad!! Reception staff are lovely, very helpful and accomodating and the location of this hotel is perfect. The rooms are basic, granted, but when exploring a city i dont tend to spend much time in the room. We... More

Ignoring gentle warnings in guidebooks to avoid Temple Bar area if one actually wants to sleep at night, I booked two nights at Riverhouse Hotel - so I had fair notice of the noise. What I didn't know to expect was the bare minimum in accomodation. While the front desk staff was quite friendly and helpful, I was surprised to... More

The website hotel description doesnt match with what you will really find there. Hotel rooms. Not recommended unless you are going out until 2:30 or 3am. A refurbishment is necessary. Breakfast service ok.

You kind of have to accept some noise as it's Temple Bar so that aside it's shocking. Really only stay here if you have no where else to go and need a roof over your head. The rooms are small, fair enough but the smell, OMG it lasted for 24 hrs after our return. Everything is shabby, the whole place... More

Rooms were extremely outdated and shabby with cracked tiles in bathroom. Could hear the guests move around in rooms beside ours. We stay in Dublin frequently and we are used to the general noise of temple bar...but this was a whole new level. We were out late and had a few drinks ourselves...but the all night noise from the club... More

Breakfast ok. Impossible to sleep until after 2:30 am, no chance of an early night. Relatively clean, not worth the price. Never recommend. Nothing works, hair dryer didn't work. Staff at reception weren't too welcoming. Lacked in customer service. Minus 1 is a complement.

Absolutely *rediculous* noise levels coming from the hotel bar in the first floor rooms. Live music blasts till 2am. (Aparently daily.) If your planning on getting some sleep before that don't bother with this place.

If you want to be in the heart of Dublin and on the temple bar and not pay a kings ransom then the riverhouse is fantastic. However great location and cheap price come at a cost. The hotel is old and rooms could well do with a make over. Also if you are a light sleeper the noise could be... More

What a dump this place is, we stayed in the apartments at the back of this hotel. The apartment was horrible mildew on the walls, dirty carpets, windows with holes in them and no tv or kettle and at €130 per night what a joke ! We have stayed in plenty of nice hotels in Dublin before for around the... More

For no reason should you ever consider staying on the first floor of this hotel, as the music from the bar below will kill you if you try to sleep. Music is mega loud and only stops after 2.00 am. The hotel decor is dated and ugly and unless you are desperate, I suggest you go somewhere else. To be... More
