After reading a few reviews on TA I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The hotel looks as if it has recently been redecorated and the room is large and extremely comfortable. New flat screen tv on wall and best of all, an attachment in the room for laptop with free internet along with several other... more

Nice enough hotel, rooms could do with a revamp but they are clean and comfortable. I like this hotel though for the following reasons - 1.Car parking 2.Bar 3.Its location as its handy for coming into Dublin from the North. 4. Its handy to Croke Park 5. Price I'd recommend it though. more

My husband and I have just spent the weekend at the Skylon and i have to admit i was somewhat nervous having read some of the reviews below. My goodness what a lovely surprise! The hotel staff, without exception, were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room... more

Stayed in Skylon for 2 nights, lets start with the positives. Room was spacious, double & a single bed, clean bedding, beds and pillows where comfortable. LCD TV on wall, good high powered shower, with a range of toiletries. Negatives is they now have started pay parking at this hotel, €5 per night, which is a bit of a rip... more

Having previously stayed at the skylon on 2 previous occasions before, i was contented with the standard of the hotel and would have gladly reccomended it to other that is until the experience i had during my last stay. I found the skylon quite good as it has quite a close proximity to the Mater where i was receiving medical... more

Stayed in the Skylon last Sunday night for the semi final in Croke Park. We were very impressed by the size, facilities and especially the cleanliness of the room. We arrived very early and did not expect to be allowed to check-in, but a very kind and efficient young lady on reception, Nima, could not have ben more helpful to... more

Hotel was average, had to get taxis into the city as its a bit of a walk, rooms not what they were advertised as on the internet, they were old and a bit shabby, but clean, you could upgrade for maybe 25 euro extra, food in the carvery was nice and only 10 euro roughly more
