We stayed at the hotel in June for one night (although we extended for another night). The check-in was polite and friendly and we were helpfully upgraded. The room was lovely and very welcome after getting the late ferry. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there is a nice deli place opposite the hotel. The following day... more

I have had ocassion to book the Skylon, sometimes at short notice, for approximately 20 nights over the period February to June. What really makes this hotel is the staff, nothing is too much bother for them. They are always helpful and friendly, in particular the night porter who was on duty the first night that I arrived really went... more

For the price nothing competes with the Skylon. As close to the city centre as you want to be. My room had recently been redecorated with flat screen tv and good choice of channels. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel & parking is free so no hidden extras. Irish staff all with a good knowledge of Dublin which is helpful. more

Im not sure what rooms the people below had but they certainly werent the same as the one i was staying in. Builders were at work in the room next to us with sawdust everywhere, they started drilling the next morning at 7am! The door on the bathroom would not shut either. There was no flat screen tv as mentioned... more

We recently spent 4 nights at the Skylon and were very pleased with our stay. From the moment we checked in all the staff we had contact with were friendly, professional and helpful. We really got the feeling we were in a family run place that takes pride in their reputation. We were in the renovated, larger rooms which were... more

Stayed down with my parents and wife for the National League final last Sat night. Treated superbly by all staff - reception, bar and waitressing. Rooms were superb as was the value of the rooms. Food was good - pints were reasonable and free parking was a bonus. They couldn't do enough to help. I'll certainly be returning if only... more
