My boyfriend and I stayed here for ten days and thought it was fine. Clean rooms and a restaurant down stairs. Try and get a room far away from the school because of the loud kids. Safe area and easy to reach city center. Pub across the street and cafes down the road.

chose this as it's a BW and 'close' to airport = 15 minute taxi ride varies from 12 to 20 E depending on time of day and driver's route. indifferent front desk gal but the guys working were pleasant. our room was on the 2nd floor next to the elevator but after testing for any elevator noise there was no... Stayed here for the weekend. Had to wait an hour for room to be ready even though we were checking in at appointed time. Decided to order afternoon tea to get the weekend started and while we had to wait. The menu said that the afternoon tea consists of sandwiches, scones, pastries, tea brack and slices of cake. It arrived with... More

Our party of three adults stayed for two nights, and it was not a great experience. Building works going on next door, with that being the view from one of the rooms, together with the garbage area. Rooms were very tired, they need a good clean and updating. The bathroom extractor fan would not turn off and was really loud.... More

The Skylon is in the perfect location for visiting Dublin. The bus stop right outside the hotel has very regular buses, all of which go to Dublin city. The decor throughout the hotel excellent. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Reception staff in particular were really friendly and helpful.

It definitely depends on the nature of your visit. I stayed in this hotel for two nights, and couldn't complaint at all. Room was nice and clean, there's was a tv, free wifi and everything you really need to stay couple nights. Restaurant is nice and breakfast is just lovely. I would come back here again :)

We had to spend one night in Dublin in the area of this hotel, which is convenient for the airport or the ferry. Best Westerns vary a lot but I've usually found them OK and sometimes been pleasantly surprised. This time I was more unpleasantly surprised. Check in staff were rather offhand (although the check-out staff were friendlier) but the... More

We stayed in the Skylon last night for a girls night out. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well the staff. Very professional yet willing to have a laugh! My room was beautiful. Large, very clean and an airy bathroom. We are looking forward to our next girls night and will stay at the Skylon.

The Skylon is a great place to stay. It has a lovely big lobby with big comfortable seats where one can order coffee and scones, the bar is big and the food was lovely. I stayed two nights and had the scampi on the bar food menu which was so fresh and delicious. The next time was the carvery with... More
