I stayed last night at the Mont Clare as I had a VERY early appointment nearby this morning. The location was excellent for where I needed to be but would also be excellent for tourists to Dublin. I paid in advance, a room-only rate as I was leaving too early for breakfast. Not inexpensive but OK for my purposes. I... More

Great food, pleasant service and great location. The beds are even comfy! I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. Old world charm and reasonable rates. I wish they had Smithwicks on tap though. The bathrooms are really clean and the hotel is well maintained.

Me and my partner stayed on Friday night and I can tell u I was not happy. When we woke up there was no hot water so we phoned down and they told use to go and get breakfast 1st and it would be fixed after we come back up. The breakfast was very poor. He had to have cold... More

Centrally located to Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green, National Museums, Temple Bar and Grafton Street areas, and Leffey River (all walking distant). A little longer walk to St, Patricks Cathedral or Christ Church, but good access to buses and DART. Beautiful wood and glass interior. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good breakfast in lovely dining area (but ask when booking... More

Mont Clare is a charming hotel right in the downtown area of Dublin. It's an easy walk from airbus stops and also tour bus stops if you are meeting a tour. The staff are very friendly. The room was spotless. The breakfast was perfect. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting this beautiful city.

Recently stayed here with my sister while we were attending a concert. We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is very centrally located with a hotel car park conveniently located around the corner. Room was lovely. Had everything we possibly needed. Only bit of criticism was how warm the room was, but other than that couldn't complain! Breakfast the next morning... More

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was OK, a bit warm and stuffy. We kept the window open except when the traffic was really noisy. Only one suitcase holder. The bed was just OK, not really good. Not enough bedside lamps for reading in bed. The wifi was good.

The hotel was average. The air conditioning was not working and the room was very uncomfortable. Other than breakfast, we did not eat a the hotel. On our next trip to Ireland we will look for somewhere else to stay near St. Stephan's Green.

I wish I could give this hotel 4 stars just because of the manager, Hugh Tyrell, but my first night of two was very uncomfortable. I booked this hotel primarily because its website stated its rooms were air-conditioned (a claim I verified by email before booking). However, when I checked in the AC in room 318 wasn't working. I was... More

...most places don't... ...GREAT night's sleep, central location, free fast wifi, food/service at breakfast and lunch/dinner at Oscar's, very friendly and helpful staff, and price for value I am a frequent visitor to Dublin and have stayed in the expensive five star Shelbourne several times, as well as three star hotels. I will stay at the O'Callaghan Mont Clare again... More
