Even though this hotel is a little out from the centre of Dublin, it's a very pleasant place to stay. The period townhouse decor has been very cleverly planned -- even though convenience has been sacrificed somewhat for authenticity -- but it is very good value. Breakfast is served in a sort of conservatory -- a very nice touch. The... more

After checking the reviews on Tripadvisor, booked here for my partner's birthday trip to see Springsteen at the RDS - and we were not disappointed. The RDS is a 5 minute walk away, the DART rail station is a minute away, as a previous poster said you can get a 3 day bus pass or do as we did and... more

the staff were very helpful and extremely hospitable--my friend and I arrived early afternoon before check-in but they kept our luggage and served us complimentary coffee in the gorgeous front reception room. The bedroom was spotless, very comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Short walk into central Dublin (or short bus ride) and the walk is through some lovely neighbourhoods and by... more

Stayed for a long weekend, Thursday to Sunday and found everything about the hotel to be first class. Dublin isn't a cheap destination especially with the current exchange rate but at 130 Euros per night including a very good breakfast the hotel offers value for money. If you are flying to Dublin a good tip is to get a 3... more

We loved Butler's Town House. Cecilia was so nice, she gave us money for a bridge toll and the bus. She would not let us pay her back. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in two, as we came in a night early. The breakfast included everything from eggs benedict to french toast, and of course, a traditional Irish Breakfast.... more

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Bulter's Town House and can't say enough about how well we were treated. Our host and her staff were excellent and the accomodations were better then we could hope for. The hotel was in a great location with good access to all forms of transportation. We used the local bus lines... more

Butlers Town House excels from start to finish at all levels. A friendly welcome and great service make this a 'must' to return to. The manager, Cecilia, ensures that everything runs to perfection and the staff are friendly and obliging. Room and breakfast were all you could wish for. With (very good) local restaurants and pubs just minutes away, and... more

We stayed 4 nights at Butlers. The airport bus stops a block away (5 minutes walk). The local shops have many good restaurants (esp MAIA - Italian) & pubs. The nearest hop on hop off bus stop is about 20 minutes easy walk or catch the DART into the city centre. Butlers hosts were always available for assistance and the... more

Since we wanted to spend time in the tourist centre of Dublin, Butler's was a good location, just a minute from the Lansdowne Dart Station that takes you close to Trinity College. The staff were helpful and courteous and the manager Cecilia was particularly helpful, warm and friendly. Upon our return each day, footsore from our sightseeing, we enjoyed being... more

Butler's Townhouse is the perfect place to stay in Dublin, and Cecilia is the perfect hostess! As soon as you meet her, she makes you feel like you're old friends. After a long flight, she takes care of everything you need, and is so friendly and warm, not to mention efficient, you could stay forever. The charming rooms are not... more
