This was our first hotel/B&B of the trip. Location was key as was getting a good night's sleep. The location was great (we walked to the Book of Kells, Guinness, etc.), the room was clean (albeit very hot), not too expensive...however the nighclub about 3 doors down that was raving until 3:30am on a Wednesday evening was a bit frustrating.... more

Can't really add a lot to what other people have said - we had the same contradictory experiences. All I can do is sum up with: if you are at the back of the hotel it is great as you cant hear the nightclub; if you are at the front of the hotel then you don't get any sleep (any... more

My dear wife and I wondered as we prepared several months before for our May 2009 Ireland adventure how Trip Advisor reviews for Dublin’s Harrington Hall Hotel could be so contradictory. Several reviews were glowing. Several were almost caustic. We decided the negative reviews must be a reflection of the reviewers’ personalities. Surely, we told ourselves, a hotel cannot be... more

We booked this hotel via the internet and it looked like a lovely Georgian home. Our room was on the third floor (with elevator access) and it was so small that we barely had room to open 2 suitcases. The bed was a double and since my husband was tall, he had to watch his head when getting up to... more

Got a cheap deal online a few days before our visit to dublin,€79 for three of us! Our room (no.11) was absolutely stunning. Huge room, so much space! Three huge windows overlooking Harcourt Street, lovely and bright. An upstairs double bed also! And even a huge bathroom to go with it. Lovely hotel all round... just happens to be without... more

We decided to stay in this hotel after reading a number of reviews on the site and the availablility of a tripple-room in Dublin for the night. I thought the directions given on their own website were pretty accurate although since Dublin has implemented a number of one-way systems (i'm guessing because of the trams) it can be a little... more

This boutique hotel was recommended in a B & B book that we picked up. This old hotel is in need of desperate repairs. There are cracks in the walls, painting needs to be done, and for a B & B there was no breakfast. The rooms are all different in size but the cost of a double is the... more

The Harrington Hall is an excellent hotel in a very good location (very close to shops and restaurants). The hotel was very clean, the staff polite and served a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast, the poached eggs were the best we have ever had! We found a couple of good restaurants ~ The Pie Dish Bistro just across from the hotel... more

Great small hotel in a very convenient location. Friendly and with a bit of character which you can't get in the large chains. Good value and close to some very good restaurants. more

Spent a couple of nights at this hotel, was a bit unsure because of some of the reviews, but can honestly say this hotel is excellent, the rooms are well furnished and very clean, as was the bathroom. Location ideal, not too near busy bars but near enough to walk to Grafton Street, O'Connell Street, Temple bar etc. (about 20... more
