Stayed in the double bung bed private room. room is all i wanted it to be. It had a comfy double bed and a single above it. the room had a en suite bathroom. excellent for £25 per night in the centre of Dublin. the location of the hostel isnt the easiest to find although Dublin in general is like... I've stayed at Avalon House three times, and each time I'm pleased with the experience. I find the staff to be consistently helpful and friendly, and the whole place to be spacious and well laid-out. If the shared bathroom outside the 24-bunk dorm is a little grungy early on a Sunday morning, well, it doesn't stay grungy for long. The... More

The hostel staff is really welcoming. Also if you need something you'll get it right away. You can leave your things in special lockers if you need to. The breakfast is very yummie and the hygiene is of good quality, too.

Hey, we rented a room for two persons at St. Patricks Day for a single night, we booked in the last minute. Check in was super easy and the staff was super friendly and extremely helpfull. The room was small, but very nice. Also they were clean, towels were offered for free. The next morning a breakfast was offered. Breakfast... More

We use Avalon House each year for our tour/travel packages for St Paddys Day. The staff are really helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is great. The cafe inside the hostel is great too if you need more than the breakfast that is included in your stay (the coffee is very good!). Thanks again to the... More

My room, a single bed, was clean and also the bathroom and shower looked decent. The staff are really helpful in this hostel which is just ten minutes walk from the Temple Bar area and the shopping center. But like any hostel, it's quite noisy even rowdy. On the first night I jumped awake at 4:30 am because the fire... More
