The hostel staff is really welcoming. Also if you need something you'll get it right away. You can leave your things in special lockers if you need to. The breakfast is very yummie and the hygiene is of good quality, too.

Hey, we rented a room for two persons at St. Patricks Day for a single night, we booked in the last minute. Check in was super easy and the staff was super friendly and extremely helpfull. The room was small, but very nice. Also they were clean, towels were offered for free. The next morning a breakfast was offered. Breakfast... More

We use Avalon House each year for our tour/travel packages for St Paddys Day. The staff are really helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is great. The cafe inside the hostel is great too if you need more than the breakfast that is included in your stay (the coffee is very good!). Thanks again to the... More

My room, a single bed, was clean and also the bathroom and shower looked decent. The staff are really helpful in this hostel which is just ten minutes walk from the Temple Bar area and the shopping center. But like any hostel, it's quite noisy even rowdy. On the first night I jumped awake at 4:30 am because the fire... More

I've been booking my bed for the available periode, then i really needed to stay for longer and all the friendly staff was keeping me in mind and letting me know when there was a cancellation, so at the end i could stay for a clear month with their kind help. Everybody is friendly, great opportunity to play ping pong,... More

Stayed here a couple of times before and it was ok. This time, however, an unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist demanded either my passport or driving licence to check in. He even refused to accept my student ID or union card along with a credit card, debit card, national security card AND an email with my passport number and expiry date... More

My friend and I were on a tight budget, so the Avalon House was just what we were looking for- great location, cheap rooms. The lobby is absolutely adorable-- it's connected to a coffee shop and feels very hipster and cool on the inside. But when we got to our room, we were unpleasantly surprised. We were in a mixed...
