Basic budget hotel, tired, but adequate for our short trip to Dublin (3 days). Linen and towels were clean and changed daily, breakfast was quick service was good with a large choice. Staff were friendly and prompt with service if we asked for anything. Hotel was well situated for the sites and bus tours.

The guesthouse is just by O'Connel St, which allows easy access to catch or be dropped of a bus whether you're coming or returning to the airport or going around town by day or night. The staff is very friendly and attentive, which helps a lot when you're new to the city. You can ask the desk about booking visits... More

I've stayed here a couple of times fir a last minute weekend get away and can't fault it really. The rooms are clean but a tad retro. The staff are friendly & helpful given they seem to cater for high turn over. The breakfast was very good and sets you up for an early Guinness. Planning a short break, can't... More

The Guest House is in a wonderful location close to O'Connell St but, in our opinion, needs to lift its game a little. Rooms are adequate and clean but some badly need refurbishment. Notwithstanding this, our room had recently been done and was fine so ask for a refurbished room when booking. Breakfasts are served in the basement, not a... More

Some good friends were recently staying in The Charles Stewart Guesthouse and I wanted to arrange a special welcome pack of some flowers and gifts for when they arrived. The reception team were incredibly helpful both in suggesting the best way to do this and then arranging to have flowers arranged in the room for our friends arrival and printing... More

Stayed in a twin room on the third floor. An ideal short stop when visiting Dublin. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful. The hotel is ideally placed as it is yards from OConnell street and 2 mins walk from airport bus stop. Be aware that because of its central location there is some noise from the... More

Very noisy birds. Could not sleep at all with the noise. If windows are closed, lack of air in room. Overall, very uncomfortable overnight at facility. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean but very compact.

We booked two rooms for 3 nights, our boys (14 and 18) had their room under ours. There is no lift so many of the rooms are upstairs, which you might want to consider. The whole place is spotless and I have never met such friendly and helpful staff, in the main. We were a little disappointed with breakfast as... More

We stayed in this affordable, well placed guest house for two nights. The décor is basic and our room needed a few things fixing and some TLC but we overlooked all that as the lady on reception on the day we checked out went so over and above when my wife was taken ill. Not only did she extend our... More

Not bad if you’re in Dublin & only want a bed for a night or 2. I wouldn’t stay here if my holiday was any longer. The good points are that it’s well connected with the airport (bus numbers 16, 700, 747 & 41C), walking distance of the centre, big room, friendly staff & belly bursting breakfasts. The bad points...
