Excellent location, but not very 'luxereous'. The accomodation is OK and you are in the 'hart' of Dublin in 2 minutes! I would reccomand this place if you are on a citytrip with friends. Just for 1 to 4 nights if you don't want to spent a lot of time on your room and going out for sightseeing or partying.... More

No Idea how this place got the star ratings but I would not recommend it to anyone. Firstly we booked the room for four 2 months prior to our arrival and yet when we came they said they did not have a four room and we had to be separated for the first night. Still not too sure why they... More

We stayed for 2 nights. We have both never stayed in a hostel before but we was very plesently surprised! Gogartys is definitely not a three star hotel but it's location is perfect, the pub and live music is fantastic and the food in the restraunt bar is very good! Yes you are in the middle of Temple Bar and... More

I read dozens of reviews and they are not accurate at all. The rooms are not as great as most reviews state. The rooms are cold and the heaters release as much heat as about four or five candles. The wifi is strong only in a small area of the room. The bathrooms are freezing and there is no heat... More

We had a group of 6 and we stayed in the Penthouse Apartments. The apartments are definitely more worn in than they look in the pictures, but they are fine. The only real issue I had was with a mold smell in one of the bathrooms, I had to keep the door shut or the smell was a bit overpowering.... More

I booked a penthouse at Gogarty's for two days. Overall the apartment was ok, although it needs a few minor adjustments. Positive: - great location in Temple Bar/Trinity College area - free welcome drink voucher + a free dvd of traditional Irish music upon arrival - very clean bed linen! - spacious rooms - Tesco store round the corner -... Clean, friendly, perfect location, and low prices! Convenient to grocery store, bars, restaurants, Trinity College, river lify, and many more. We loved hearing the music from the streets. We... More

Location is perfect, staff is ok, good smoking area semi-covered,free breakfast was ok. Comfy beds but room 8 has only one place to charge phones for 12 people, kind of messy. Wifi is very slow. Its not too clean in general and bathroom definetly not clean. Hot water is really not hot, maybe in july is fine, in january not... More

I stayed here with friends shortly after Christmas 2014 and was incredibly satisfied with my stay, lovely warm welcoming staff, excellent showering facilities, a lovely traditional bar and a nice comfy bed. Also the hostel was only a stones throw from Temple Bar and city centre. Would definitely come back again next time I'm in Dublin and also recommend to... More

I've been coming over to Dublin for nights out a few times now. Stayed in a number of hostels and I have to say this place is the best so far. Location is good, staff are friendly hostel is clean. No curfew.
