Stayed 3 nights early Nov (Sat - Tues). Lovely friendly staff at all times and very amusing at times to chat to! Not sure who would have been on the desk to warrant the odd negative review on here, TRUST ME....they were all brilliant! Rooms are ok, provide all you need, nice comfy bed and tea/coffee/TV in all rooms. Bathroom... More

Stayed two days her October , Hotel rooms are above the pub.Rooms OK nothing special and a bit grubby. Worst bit is noise outside at night and then cellar men at it at 7:30. Breakfast was the worst I have ever tasted...cremated bacon , crappy coffee. wouldnt advise to stay here again

Arrived at hotel with a very warm welcome! Reception staff very welcoming and friendly! Bookin time not till 2pm however the very friendly staff allowed us to leave our luggage in reception. So far a very warm reception and really nice bar atmosphere next to reception.

This is the perfect city centre hotel for access to everything. Really close to shops, pubs, clubs. Yet, inside the hotel itself, you wouldn't think you were staying right beside one of the busiest streets in Dublin. The staff were very friendly and eager to help, both in the main hotel and adjoining bar. We found one of our rooms to... More

Hotel needs some work, very tired appearance inside even though a painter was working away. Sealing around shower and bath was rough. When we went for breakfast the family ended up being offered tea in a cup with no handle, now this cup must of passed thru at least two or three sets of hands before reaching us at the... More

The Mercantile is at the corner of one of the shopping areas of Dublin. Music, entertainment, food and beer just downstairs. If you want to be where the heart of the night beats you have to be there. The rooms aren´t have their own, a little bit old style but that´s some kind of Dublin´s flair. Music already at break... More

Stayed at the Mercantile this week on a short trip to Dublin. Although the staff were very helpful the hotel itself is in need of attention. The rooms are very clean but shabby, tiles broken in the bathroom floor and mouldy sealant around the bath/shower. Our TV remote wasnt working and despite three requests at the desk no replacement was... More
