My father and I stayed here for a weekend trip and it was a great location of Dublin pubs everywhere. The hotel it self wasn't that bad but the only dis advantage was the shower's and sinks really need some plumbing service since they stop every few minutes for a few seconds and then they will shoot back on again.... I've been many times to Dublin city for work and holidays, I saw and booked this hotel because of the location in the heart of Dublin city..unfortunately this was not as it looks at there advertisement sites booking.com/and their site. I notice the elevator was not in good safe operation ,the day I checked in subcontractors of an elevator firm... More

Really lovely hotel inside and staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was lovely and beds comfy and clean.also the added bonus of a late check out! Great location for pubs in temple bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice staff, good bar, clean hotel in a safe location, comfy enough beds, if you get a room to the front it will be noisy but earplugs were provided, however you are in the centre of a European city so what would one expect. Great convenient stay.

While we did not stay in the Mercantile, we were directed by the local tourist office to the hotel's bar/restaurant because it was supposed to be family friendly and could accommodate eight of us for dinner. They were right on both counts. We arrived late afternoon/early evening and the staff was more than willing to seat us immediately in our... More

Rooms are old and set up like a dorm. Beds were bad needed replaced, room was extremely hot even with cool weather. Shower had black mold over the ceiling and was tiny and not useable if you are over 4 ft tall. Ear plugs won't cut it if you plan to sleep before 4am sounds like band is in your... More

My wife and I experienced the worst hotel stay ever at the Mercantile. The photos are VERY deceiving. Where do I start? Well - we had to walk through a rather smelly and trashy bar to reach the reception as we weren't told to go round the back entrance. We had to carry our bags three flights of stairs. Once... More

This hotel is great : good bargain with a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nice : limited menu but good food and excellent service. Otherwise, there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Warmly recommended.
