now and then you face the situation that all hotels seem to be booked or come up with a price of 200 Euro + / night. Since I didn't want to raise a fortune I found a wonderful charming place in the middle of Dublin. It is the Hostel of the Trinity Campus, being available to students and visitors. Opposite... More

A guided tour would be best so you can learn about the history of the college and the buildings/statutes, etc. Also be prepared to wait in line to view the Book of Kells. Also make sure to visit the library because while I dn the campus there was an exhibit to see. A trip into the bookstore is also worth... More

What an excellent use of the facilities once the students leave. If you are expecting a four or even three star hotel, this is not or you. This is a college with student dorms. If you went to college and lived in a dorm, you may remember that experience. We had twin beds and our own bathroom. I chose this... More

No loo only a sink with cold water, terrible continental breakfast, very hard little beds witha small shelf, much like a prison cell (I would imagine!) not worth the money, say at the travel lodge. On plus side was it was inside the college walls

My sister and I were backpacking for her high school graduation, and we were on a HUGE budget. However, we still wanted to be centrally located. Staying at Trinity College was a pretty cool way to be within walking distance to most attractions. The bedroom was very clean. The bathroom was "shared" (in the hall) with I think 1 other... More

We went there yesterday (Feb 21), and did the tour around campus. It is nice to walk trough, especially when it's sunny because you avoid walking on the main street, but in the end nothing special... You can see the different buildings, but aren't even aloud to walk over the grass fields. I suppose because they are meant as sport... More

Didn't spend a huge amount of time here - the allure of the Jameson whiskey your was just too great! But the buildings were absolutely beautiful, and it was a really nice way to spend an hour, wandering around the campus and reading about the college's history.

I've been to Dublin twice now, once in 2009 and again in 2014. I went to Trinity College the first time with a Contiki travel group and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. It's so full of history and such an old site that it's hard to imagine it's still a fully functional university in the... More

My friend and I traveled through Western Europe with our first stop in Dublin. 1. Location? Really close to Temple Bar area as well as major stop for transportation whether city buses, taxis or hoofing it to find the tour buses for guided tours. 2. Dorm? We stayed in a basic dorm with two single beds, which included a small... More

You won't get more central than this. Comfy twin room in the Graduate Memorial Building - after a strenuous challenge, I slept amazingly in a comfy room in the centre of Dublin city centre. Beautiful campus surroundings, decent breakfast next door the following morning and close to Dublin's many city centre bars and restaurants.
