This is really great. Ten euros and I have outlets above my bed!!! Plus wifi and cooking facilities and not even a hint of smell like other hostels I have stayed in. This is an 18 bed dorm and extraordinarily clean! The staff has a greasy sense of humor and really went out of their way to book my trip... More

We were four and went for the 4bed room with private bathroom for one night! Staff was friendly and for what you pay this is a decent hostel in the centre of the town! Basic breakfast is offered which a nice extra!

I have stayed at Ashfield House twice, once on each trip to Ireland. The location is awesome- right up the street from Trinity College and an easy walk to Temple Bar (or anywhere, really). Conner at reception was there in 2012 when I stayed, and again this time- super funny and it just puts you in a good mood to... More

When we came to Dublin we had absolutely no idea where to go and somehow we ended up at Ashfield House which was the best thing that could have ever happened to us. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not as busy and hectic as in other hostels. The warm welcoming of Connor was the best first impression of Ireland... More

I stayed here when I first visited Dublin and would recommend it to everybody. Staff is welcoming, friendly and happy to help in any possible situation, breakfast is better than in all hostels I've ever been and the area around reception is huge, atmosphere is warm, yet peaceful and the hostel is situated in the very center - just 2... I stayed here with my sister for 3 nights in early September 2014 as we travelled around the UK and Ireland. We booked a twin private and were given a four bed dorm on level 3 facing D'Olier St. The windows when closed don't block the street noise at night, in which there is A LOT, given its location on... I very rarely stay in hostels or cheap accommodation and have expected it to be much worse than it actually was. We stayed in a twin room (no 23) The good: very knowledgeable, relaxed and nice reception service - fantastic location! - open 24h - breakfast included in the price - good size rooms (clean bedding, comfortable bed) - access... A great location and an amazing staff for this youth hostel close to the city center. I will definitively recommend this place to my friends coming in Ireland ! Thank you for your advice and your smile :)

The facilities at this place were fairly average, and it could have been cleaner, but the location and exceptionally helpful staff more than made up for these shortcomings. I was able to book day tours at reception, and they could answer any question I put to them. However, if you're a solo traveller you may find yourself a tad lonely,... More

Bed was fine. Staff are extremely unreliable (lady was nice). Got promised an early breakfast due to early flight, only to find we were unable to do it on the morning. Won't be recommending to friends.
