Great service, free breakfast was delicious and diverse. Had good security on front door, door to rooms and luggage storage. Lockers were available but it was required to pay for them, however rates were quite reasonable, e.g. 3 euros for a medium sized locker for 12 hours. Recommend that if staying in one of the bigger dormitories that you ask... More

Had to spend a night here. Can't fault it. It does what it's meant to and also supplies breakfast and free wifi. This is more than many 4/5 star hotels around the world do. Would recommended to those for looking for accommodation on a budget.

We stayed there for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was really lovely, especially Conor that made us laugh even at 3am :) It's very well located. However, it's a bit noisy because of a nightclub beside the hostel.

My husband and I stayed in a 3 bed room with our adult daughter. We had our own bathroom which was clean. Shower had lots of hot water with good pressure. Linen was supplied. Breakfast was included which was a good help when starting out early for tours. Staff set out breakfast early so we could get away on our... More

Even if I only stayed for a night I felt like I made a good choice booking at the Ashfield Hostel. It is ideal when it comes to location and the staff is just amazing. They provide you with personalized tips and recommendations for activities during the day and in the evening. The rooms aren't super modern, but clean. There... More

Reception was rather cold, and tried to push us to go on tours we didn't want to go on. We had to switch rooms halfway through our stay to accommodate their other guests. The room was moderately clean but could have been better. Breakfast was phenomenal, better than any hostel I've been to before or since - the only reason... More

It's probably a great as a hostel and a cheap one when staying in dorms. I just felt a bit too old for the place and looked more from an accommodation, especially since I booked a private room. Can't beat the location though, close to everything. Our private twin room was very basic; clean but a bit worn out. Room... More

Great place with really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and cosy and the price is great - really good value. Location is fantastic, very close to Temple Bar area and in the heart of Dublin.

I stayed here one night on the way home to England. The guy on reception was helpful and friendly. The hostel decor is a little shabby but if there's nothing better on offer and you're travelling on a tight budget this is a decent option. The hostel is very central and easy to find in Dublin. There are secure lockers... More
