I have stayed in a few hostels in Dublin, and Ashfield was by far the best. I was here for about two weeks, as I had just moved to the country. The staff made me feel welcome and helped me with any queries I had, even when it came to flat and job hunting. Keith and Connor both were amazing,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, the staff are warm and welcoming very polite and willing to help. Room could be a little noisy at times but didn't expect pure silence. Right in the city centre, we walked to most of the places we wanted to go :)

Definitely the best hostel I've stayed at in Ireland, by far. Great rooms, awesome free breakfast, free wifi, hot showers, clean bedding. Have stayed there on and off for the last while, in rooms ranging from the 18 bed, down to a 6 bed. The staff is what makes this place though! It's not as busy as some other hostels,... More

Stayed for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Amazing location & no problem with noise despite staying there during haloween. My only issue was the rather archaic “give key in when you leave” rule. No problem when you leave but when you need to wait 10 minutes to wait for reception to finish checking people in to get your key... More

Postives: Great location if you are looking for somewhere central , Temple Bar just a 2minute walk, O'Connell Street just on the other side of the river. Breakfast is included in the price (this was unexpected as I'd only paid 17euro for the night) As I was running in the DCM , I just wanted access to a microwave which... More

Stayed here for three nights during the marathon, was a great location, right in the middle of the city. There breakfast and wifi included, and only cost €34 which is great value for money. Staff were very helpful, and were willing to answer as many questions of which I had a lot. Great place to meet new people. Would definitely... More

I've stayed in a lot of hostels recently and the staff in this one in particular were amazing. I'm not sure which staff member it was, but I've just watched a guest have a panic about losing her wallet and said staff member talked her through it, helped her out and calmed her down. He empathised with her situation and... More
