I'm not one to write a review normally but unfortunatly we didn't have a great stay at the Clarence. Our room was at the back of the hotel which was directly over a nightclub which had a large outdoor area that was extremely busy. The music and noise didn't stop until 3 and there was a very noisy air conditioning... More

Thanks for your review of The Clarence. It is unfortunate that you experienced disruption during your stay with us from noise emanating from a neighbouring business. We are looking at ways to minimise such disturbances but being located in a thriving nightlife district means we are unable to currently block it all out. Despite the impact of this on your... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in August 2014, in a deluxe balcony room, 412. The entrance / foyer area is decorated in oak panels and could look a little austere to some visitors although we liked it a lot. On entering the hotel, we were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming way though sadly the room wasn't ready,... More

Thanks for your comprehensive review following your recent stay. I certainly seems like you had a mixed experience staying here at The Clarence, but it's great to read of the positives. Where you experienced anything less than the standard we have been able to pride ourselves on goes to show us that there is always room for improvement and thanks... More

We stayed at the Clarence for one night in Dublin, wish we could have stayed longer! We were upgraded to a beautiful suite overlooking the River Liffey. The rooms were clean and beautifully furnished with a separate living room, including a flat screen TV, mini bar and computer station. The hotel is situated in the heart of Dublin within walking... I stayed here for two nights in August, the hotel is lovely and is situated right on the river Liffey, it is in the center of all of the shops, attractions and night life. The hotel itself is lovely, the main entrance and lobby is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. The staff are very helpful and provided us... More

Stayed on a business trip, good hotel, room a great size, bed really comfortable, extras in room good - just would have liked a better quality of coffee/tea. Good quality hotel with no cheap gimmicks. Room service food excellent, staff lovely and very helpful. Will visit again. Worth a visit. Will visit again.

Outstanding customer service! Our original room had a strange noise outside - hard to identify the source. We called the desk and the clerk immediately came to the room to investigate. He agreed it was disturbing and would see what he could do for us. Within 10 minutes he moved us to a beautiful suite with a fabulous terrace. The... More

Bono and The Edge and their team of investors have restored this classic hotel lovingly and authentically. Could not imagine a better location within the city of Dublin - as central as possible and can walk to almost everyplace you would want to visit. For Dublin I think this is one of the best hotel offerings, especially for the "pleasure"... More

We stayed at The Clarence our first night in Ireland. My family of 4 arrived very early in the morning from the U.S. and even though we were there way before check-in time, the staff was very accommodating, offering tea and juice for the kids, and basically letting us camp out until our room was ready. I don't know if... More

The Clarence Hotel is right in Temple Bar, so very convenient to so much .. including the Hop on Hop Off bus system. The hotel rooms were very nice .. good beds. Must say that the drinkers and party people created noise most of the night, but we were so tired we slept just fine. Staff is top notch.

Thanks for your recent stay with us Jon, and for your review. It's good to know that you enjoyed your stay and that hustle and bustle of Temple Bar and it's nightlife didn't impact on your sleep. Thanks also for your compliment on the staff here which I have passed on to them. More

Was very much looking foward to staying here but sadly didn't live up to expectations! Struggled checking in. Room was ok. Nothing special needs updating. Very noicy from the night club next door! Air con was broken so it was either freezing or too warm. But! Have to say the young man who brings you're bags up is delightful .

Their new Clarence Hotel opened in June 1996.
