The staff here was great. They were friendly and helpful. But there was no solution to the problem of late night noise. The rooms looked great and the bed was fine. But Dublin is a late night city and the hotel is right in the thick of things. We had two rooms that faced different streets and neither of them... More

We've stayed at the Clarence on numerous occasions . And nothing has changed , the hotel staff are friendly and helpful . The food at cleaver East is to die for. as soon as we got to our rooms there was a knock at the door and the waiter came in with a card for us and a bottle of... More

We had a fabulous couple of days in Dublin, mainly thanks to the great location and excellent staff at the Clarence. They couldn't have been more helpful in their suggestions for activities or where to go. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night which was OK, not great, but OK. It's worth doing but there are many... More

The Clarence has an excellent location right in the heart of Dublin. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant; we were impressed that the front desk staff remembered us and greeted us by name. The room was nice, nothing exceptional but cozy and clean. The only drawback is the noise from the Temple Bar pubs... More

I am so glad that we booked this hotel. Taxi driver knew exactly where it was and dropped us off (there is no parking at the hotel, if you rented a car). Our room had a large sitting area and doors that opened up to a balcony to overlook the River Liffey and the city of Dublin. It was very... More

We stayed in Dublin for two nights, after a 10 days Irland trip. The location couldn't be better. Staff was very friendly and extremely keen on giving recommendations. However the room we had was not outstanding. The carpets are old and the bathrooms could need a refurbishment as well. Moreover I think a four star property could offer bathrobes and... More

Great service, great breakfast and overall and great stay, but the prices are a little high, and I even got a discount because we we're staying more than 3 nights. I will maybe stay here again, but it depends on the price.

The hotel is fine. It's clean and in a great location. It's just a little lacking in atmosphere (apart from the Saturday evening restaurant). I'm not sure it's as good as the price would suggest. And it's not the fault of the hotel, but Dubln seems to have turned into a huge "Irish theme park" caricaturing itself. There seem to... More

Pay the extra money and stay in the rooms with a view. Hotel staff are pleasant and accomodating. This room has a balcony and boasts an unbelievable view of the city. The room is clean and is very homey - comes with a a living room that is perfect for hanging out. I feel like a rockstar as I look... More

Thanks for taking the time to post your review of The Clarence following your recent stay with us. It sounds like you really enjoyed your time here at the hotel, which is always a pleasure to read. It's a pity that you were initially disturbed on your last night by noise from Temple Bar however I greatly appreciate your understanding... More

Stayed for the weekend. Had a room on 3rd floor overlooking the Liffey river. This is a better view and quieter on this side of the hotel rather than at the back on Temple Bars side. Bedroom nicely furnished and very clean. Bathroom needed a refurb. Bath badly chipped, basin chipped, mould around the bath - no excuse for that.... More

I'm sorry to read that you did not enjoy your recent stay at The Clarence and in relation to the issues you mention, in particular with the bathroom I will be looking into these as a matter of urgency. Your compliments regarding the staff and The Octagon Bar are very much appreciated and I will also pass on your feedback... More
