I have stayed in a lot of places in my life, and none were ever as bad as this. If you have any other option, really ANY other option, do NOT stay here. I was crying when I saw where I was going to have to sleep that night. The room was tiny and like a prison cell. It was... More

It was perfect for us. Three friends on a short holiday. Near the city centre and well communicated. The staff was so nice, room quite small but enough for us three, and although the bathroom was shared it was clean all day. Wifi in the rooms. Perfect for groups of friends.

Stayed there 2 years ago, (april 2012) and it didn't feel right. The room was small, very noisy as it was near an air con exterior device, it was freezing during the day, but at night it was heated, the toilet was shared (so you get out of your room, walk the corridor, and then enter the toilet), and the... Stayed here for one night. Service was good, the guy that checked us in was quite friendly. It's a 4min walk to o Connells street and a short walk to the main bus and train station in Dublin (Connolly) decor is a bit dated but rooms and bathroom seem clean throughout the day. Overall if your looking for a cheap... More

I booked a double room two months in advance and upon arrival was greeted by two guys who behaved really unprofessionally and said, without apologizing, that although we'd booked a double room they only have a twin room (bunk bed) for us. Seriously? No refund, no explanation. The walls were paper thin, people walking and talking in the hallways or... More

I booked here because I needed somewhere affordable for my brother and I (both mid 20s) to stay with our mother (late 50s) on our stopover in Dublin on our way to a wedding in the North. It wasn't terrible, and I think if it had been just us in our 20s it would have been ok, but I think... More

I stayed here for one night with the girlfriend while visiting Dublin. I can say I thought it was good value for money with costing €60 for both of us for the night, with our own double room with a double bed and shared bathroom facilities. It was easy to find ans everything was within walking distance. Breakfast wasn't including... More

I stayed at Pillar for 5 days in a private triple room with my daughter and 11 yr old granddaughter. The room was small, but comfortable and beds were fine. Our room had a loft which my granddaughter immediately claimed. The two shared bathrooms upstairs were always clean and we never had to wait to use them. Clean towels were... More

bed extremely comfortable, nice and clean room with a sink and mirror. private toilets just outside the room and private showers on the second floor. noisy in the sense that you can hear pretty much everything that happens in the corridor but there are no clubs or bars around it. location is perfect, about 10 minutes from temple bar walking... We slept here just for one night. The room was in the last floor, there was no elevator and steep narrow staircase, so it was little bit uncomfortable with the luggage to get in the room. The room was quite small there was washbasin, two chairs and one small table. But it was clean and relatively cheap, although the hotel... More
