While the bed and breakfast itself was lovey and Ada was very nice, we were ripped off. We had vouchers that paid for an ensuite room. This was not provided. Our vouchers covered 2 adults we did have three. Ada's son the "manager" charged our third person what it costs for an ensuite room to stay in our none ensuite... More

We were looking for a B&B close to UCD's Belfield campus, and we found a gem in St. Jude's. Great location, a quiet street, walkable pubs, restaurants, and stores, a ten-minute stroll to the LUAS station for Dublin nightlife, and quick access to major shopping and highways. David and his mum are wonderful hosts. We'll be back!

This was a great place to spend our first night in Ireland. We were greeted with wonderful hospitality as well as maps and directions upon our arrival. We arrived prior to check in time, but they were kind enough to let us leave our bags while the room was being cleaned and we headed into Dublin. Is only a short... More

This would have to be one of the nicest B&B we stayed in on our 3 weeks travelling around north and south Ireland. From the moment we were met by Ada we felt at home. Room was lovely, old but for a 100 year old building it was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Location... More

This bed and breakfast was quite similar to a hostel with a few more luxuries thrown in!Large dwelling spread over 3 or 4 floors. Room was clean but decorated in a very old fashioned manner,e.g doily under lamps, large dresser in the room etc. Had a large window almost down to the ground which we felt was a little dangerous... Rathmines is a quaint, Victorian style residential neighborhood and St. Jude's fits into that ambiance quite well. The location was great, just two blocks from some small shops and a quaint local restaurant, a few blocks more to a larger commercial area and a 5-8 minute walk to the tram line that takes you into the heart of Dublin. The... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights only, but we were very pleased. We initially only found a room with shared bathroom (which was actually not as bad as it sounds) but because we asked, on the second night we were moved to a beautiful "ensuite" room with double height ceilings, decorative moldings, antique carpeting and furniture. Breakfast was... More

Mr. Boyle is the son of the owner. We did not meet the owner who lives in the residence. Mr. Boyle actually demanded that we call him to confirm arrival time. When we asked what time we should check in, his reply was to call. We emailed and advised 3-4. He said he would not be home and would not... More
