We went there to celebrate my birthday which coincides with Valentine's day, all restaurants were fully booked and busy including the CTH but they agreed to book us at 5:30 which was ok by us as were planning to go for drinks later on , all staff we met were very pleasant and happy to offer advice on food, we... My wife and I decided to try the Cliff Town House Oyster Bar and were very disappointed. The food and wine were OK. We booked seats at the Oyster Bar hoping for a similar experience to Aqua and Grand Central Oyster Bar in NYC or Bentley's, Sheekey's or Hix in London. Not so. No sooner did our plates begin to... Having stayed in the Cliff House after our wedding, we decided to have lunch in the townhouse on our first anniversary. Staff were very pleasant, and the food was delicious. Beautiful restaurant to dine in, and look forward to returning.

I had dinner here recently with a group of 6. When we arrived I held into my coat (as I often do) to warm up. However, I couldn't bear to take it off over an hour later! The place was freezing. When we asked politely could we move from the window as there was quite a draft coming in, we... More

This beautiful house in the centre of Dublin is one of the best experiences we have had in Dublin. We had a beautiful room (210) which was so relaxing and soothing that we spent hours chilling. We had a fantastic evening meal and the bar man even warmed our wine in a carafe when I mentioned it was a little... More

Last year, with a toddler, we experienced a bunch of logistical challenges and unexpected surprises while in Dublin, including a billing mistake by hotels.com, and the staff of The Cliff Townhouse (not just one person but really all of them) solved all of our problems graciously and sincerely, always with a smile and warm touch. They were so helpful and... More

This is a lovely hotel, right in the centre of Dublin and across from St. Stephen's Green. The room we stayed in was quite small, spotlessly clean but it was tiny and so was the bed. Breakfast time is a sheer delight, the dining room has massive windows and the food was great!! thoroughly enjoyable.

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed ourselves. Niamh at reception was most accomadating as we had to change our dates at the last minute. Our room had a beautiful view of St. Stephen's Green . The staff were all so helpful . We had lunch , dinner and breakfast and the food and service was first class. We... More

This hotel which is mostly a great restaurant has great food and a great atmosphere. Go for the seafood, it's fresh from the west coast and the wild Atlantic. Service is discreet but prompt and the vibe is great. Only 9 rooms, but they are Classic Georgian Dublin. Well worth a visit
