The Cliff Town House is well situated overlooking St Stephen's Green within easy walking distance of museums, galleries, Trinity College and Grafton Street shopping. Taxi ranks are close. Although our room overlooked a busy street it was quiet. It was spacious and the bathroom well-fitted and supplied. Tea and coffee in each room. Breakfast in the restaurant on the ground... More

Shared a seafood platter with a friend. Quite reasonable given the amount of fish. Also had the most delicious chips.. They need to be tried! Finished off with a cocktail for dessert with waiting staff going out of their way to ensure all requests were met

Stayed here for 1 night and couldn't find fault. Our room was a park view room. Good size for city centre hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was excellent. Nice waiter who knew everything about the food on the menu. Breakfast the following morning was a feast, fruit and yogurt to start.... More

The hotel is in a historic building so they are limited in what they can do to upgrade so getting our two large suitcases up to our room was a bit of a challenge. The room was nice, but there is no air conditioning so it was warm upon arrival. We opened the window and set the fan near it... More

Booked a room here for a very special occasion, dropped off a suitcase in the afternoon and the friendly woman on the desk said it would be waiting in our room when we returned and no need to check in as I was in a rush, an excellent start! Arrived back in the early hours of the morning and the... More

Dear FullBellyFull, Thank you for your review. I do apologises about the luggage miscommunication and the "lack" of communication on departure - not our normal standards or practises and something we can easily rectify! The Viking Splash tour do like to make themselves known alright, that said they do a mighty fine tour of Dublin! Warm Regards, Siobhan Ryan More

Visited last week and went for the Early Bird menu. 3 courses for 28euro, excellent value considering the high quality of food. Good selection of dishes for each course. I would absolutely recommend the lobster salad, the duck leg and the dessert was amazing. A nice little chocolate fondant accompanied by a fabulous light chocolate mousse and a strong coffee... More

We had the best experience at Cliff Town House. The staff, especially Siobhan, was amazing and so helpful. We had two rooms: both with city street view, however, it wasn't too loud at all (compared to what I had been reading on other reviews for other hotels). There was definitely "city noise" (cars, drunk people, etc.) but nothing that kept... More

Dear JamesAndAbbyMelad, What a wonderful review .... Thank You! As one of three Siobhan's who works here in the Townhouse - we'll all take your compliments on board, but I think it was Shivaun on the front desk that should really take the credit here - she's great and a fountain of knowledge. Very much agree with you regarding the... More

High praise you might say. There are many fine hotels in Dublin old and new and of course many not so good. This was a really pleasant surprise for me and was chosen as a cheaper option for me through work. The staff when arriving were really pleasant on arrival and welcoming. On first impressions are that the hotel is... More

The Cliff Town House on St Stephen's Green in the centre of Dublin City is the little brother of the Michelin star Cliff Hotel in Ardmore on the Waterford coast. The two could not be more different in their styles or more complementary in what they offer their guests. Ardmore is a luxury retreat, newly built into the cliff with... More

Excellent service and beautiful location. Our room overlooked Steven's Green and was on the third floor so we didn't have any of the noise from the busy street. Cliff Town House is located within walking distance of great food and shopping as we'll as wonderful "traditional" Irish music pubs. We enjoyed the breakfasts. Done very well and very tasty. One...
