Last year, with a toddler, we experienced a bunch of logistical challenges and unexpected surprises while in Dublin, including a billing mistake by hotels.com, and the staff of The Cliff Townhouse (not just one person but really all of them) solved all of our problems graciously and sincerely, always with a smile and warm touch. They were so helpful and... More

This is a lovely hotel, right in the centre of Dublin and across from St. Stephen's Green. The room we stayed in was quite small, spotlessly clean but it was tiny and so was the bed. Breakfast time is a sheer delight, the dining room has massive windows and the food was great!! thoroughly enjoyable.

We stayed for one night and really enjoyed ourselves. Niamh at reception was most accomadating as we had to change our dates at the last minute. Our room had a beautiful view of St. Stephen's Green . The staff were all so helpful . We had lunch , dinner and breakfast and the food and service was first class. We... More

This hotel which is mostly a great restaurant has great food and a great atmosphere. Go for the seafood, it's fresh from the west coast and the wild Atlantic. Service is discreet but prompt and the vibe is great. Only 9 rooms, but they are Classic Georgian Dublin. Well worth a visit

This is not our first visit to Cliff House. Dinner is always good as it was on this occasion. Highly recommend the restaurant. We have stayed overnight on a previous occasion and the only room available was on the top floor. As it is an old building there is no elevator so it was a problem as my partner has... More

I did not stay in the hotel, only visited the restaurant for lunch. Let me start off by saying that the restaurant is absolutly gorgeous, downright elegant. I was traveling solo and chose to sit at the bar and so grateful that I did. The bartender, Sean T., is the Cliff! I was beyond impressed with this young man. From... More

Stayed here last night for our wedding anniversary, after reading the reviews I really thought it was going to be lovely, well Niamh at reception was lovely and breakfast was lovely, but our room was the smallest room I have ever stayed it and is very over priced our view from our window was not stephens green but steel stairs... For a restaurant with such a good reputation, this visit was disappointing. I was part of a large group before Christmas and I have found in the past that many restaurants can't handle large groups at the same time as well as they might handle an otherwise full restaurant. Service was poor, bordering on rude on occasions. Food was very... More

Dear GT-MPB, Thank you for your review. I appreciate you comments regarding a busy restaurant in December but that said it should not impact the quality of food we serve. I would love to welcome you back, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will be happy to make a reservation for you... 01 6383939. Kind Regards... More

We recently visited Dublin and stayed in the Cliff Town House hotel. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The room (203) was lovely on the top floor overlooking the St Stephens Green. We had a seafood platter for lunch which was fabulous. The breakfast on departure was 5 star . We would highly recommend this hotel and... More
