Great hotel, very comfortable with friendly staff from check in onwards. Food rating on Trip Advisor is good and I have to agree. It's not top end just good honest food cooked with passion. Try the Haddock & Chips, the batter is light and crispy and the fish tastes very fresh.

Four doors West of the Historic, and busy, Temple Bar/Restaurant itself is a similar, more historic bar and restaurant called the Norseman. Above and behind are rooms, with baths. Hardwood floors and skylights. I stayed in room 3 of what looked like 6 rooms total. You pay in advance, informally at the bar below, you get a security fob and... More

Stayed two nights in this nice hotel. Room was ok, though the bathroom had some troubles with water getting out of the sink and shower. Street noise is extremely loud until around 3am. It didn't bother too much since i was quite drunk both nights. To my opinion, that's the only way to get some sleep in this hotel. Would... More

stayed here with my husband for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary, while the room was adequate although no phone in room so when we had a problem with the shower had to run downstairs for assistance, its on the third floor no lift so luggage has to be carried up, the waitress was lovely and helped. The sliding... More

After paying €6.30 for a pint in Fitzsimons across the road I came in here thinking I'd get better value. I didn't. €6.40 for a pint of Heineiken! It's a lovely old fashioned bar and a great spot to people watch, but you'd need to win the Lotto to spend an evening here. It's mostly tourists but most of them... More

The venue is excellent and bar lady exceptional, she even volunteered to charge my iPhone. The food was disappointing. My wife is vegetarian and had only 1 option. I really wanted any of their baked or grilled fish but with no oil (an MS dietary requirement) according to the waitress the chef could not comply, however she was only go... More

Spent one night here while going to a concert in Dublin - Clean and modern rooms in the very heart of Temple bar - Enjoyed our stay and cant really fault the premises - secure and comfortable. Great food in the bar!! Recommend the Beef and Guinness Pie!!

Visited with friends on a Saturday night during weekend trip to Dublin. The live band were very good and we had a great time for a couple hours. Liked that the band played up to date songs. Atmosphere was great, worth a visit whilst in Temple Bar

You can't beat the location - close to everything !! Price was decent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Ate lunch at the bar - soup/bread very good ! Service isn't exactly friendly and efficient - good service is everywhere just outside the door.

A buddy and I needed a place to stay for a last minute jaunt to Dublin. The Norseman offered an unbeatable location right in the heart of the Temple Bar area (right where you want to be). It's a short walk to just about anywhere you'd want to go touristy. The room was clean and the large windows that opened... More
