It was a quiet Thursday and we were hungry. The smoked haddock and trout pie with the cheese mash was the perfect meal for a damp evening. It arrived in a lovely presentation and was piping hot. But best of all it was delicious to the last bite. My husband had fish and chips and they were also delicious. And... More

Arrived at Dublin on a Wednesday and we were starving. Our hotel was in the Temple Bar area and we came across the Norseman. We ordered two pints of Guinness and 2 Pies, one chicken and one steak and Guinness pie. Very quickly delivered and piping hot. No Veg just pie and mash, tasty pies, filled a gap. Prices on... More

Had dinner here on Friday evening in the upstairs restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was lovely. I can honestly say that the seafood chowder was the best I ever eaten anywhere in the world. Served with porter bread and butter, it was delicious. It was on the starter menu but was most definitely a main... More

Stayed here whilst in Dublin for 2 days. Very nice looking room, clean and comfortable. Great value for money. Superb food in the bar, best salmon I have tasted in a long while. Very hospitable staff and great evening entertainment. Very well located too. However, the bedroom we were assigned to overlooked the street and due to the single glazing... More

I was tempted into the Norseman as I strolled through the Temple Bar area last week by their menu of whiskeys. I tried the Jameson Black Barrel for the first time and loved it. The staff here were very helpful and helped me plan the places to go.

I had my first beer in Dublin in this very peculiar pub and it's been nice! Relaxing atmosphere, nice people and nice waiting staff. We actually ordered only two beers and the service was quite quick and the beers good

Came here for dinner, the waiting staff were friendly and the food was quick and delicious. The steak on a hot stone was the highlight! Really quirky and fun idea. Stayed for a few pints at the bar, the barman was friendly and really efficient! He had been serving us earlier in the day when the football was on. Another... More

Ate with 2friends earlier tonight, starter of lime prawns was delicious.....I ordered a main of chicken pie, a burger came to the table. The young waitress apologised and then arrived later with a chicken pie after my friends had finished their meal. I took 2bites as I did not like it at all and when the waitress cleared the table... Just arrived back from a delightful 2 night stay at the Norseman with my boyfriend. We arrived Friday evening and were taken to room 4 (rooms are all separate from the bar). Walking up the stairs we were a bit sceptical but there was no need for us to be as the room was bright, clean and modern. Our room... More

Looking for somewhere to eat with live music and stumbled on to this pub. Food was excellent, service was not bad and the music was well worth a listen. The Seafood Chowder was the highlight of the meal
