Visited with friends on a Saturday night during weekend trip to Dublin. The live band were very good and we had a great time for a couple hours. Liked that the band played up to date songs. Atmosphere was great, worth a visit whilst in Temple Bar

You can't beat the location - close to everything !! Price was decent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Ate lunch at the bar - soup/bread very good ! Service isn't exactly friendly and efficient - good service is everywhere just outside the door.

A buddy and I needed a place to stay for a last minute jaunt to Dublin. The Norseman offered an unbeatable location right in the heart of the Temple Bar area (right where you want to be). It's a short walk to just about anywhere you'd want to go touristy. The room was clean and the large windows that opened... More

Had a drink here recently. It was a good atmosphere and a lot of tourists there enjoying the music. Didn't stay too long but had good banter and conversation with the young barman. Really nice guy and service was very good. Nice pub.

Can't say how disappointed we were, music sounded great so dropped in for a pint of the black stuff, apparently we were invisible, after being passed over by am ultra poor slow barman went over the road to Fitzsimmons where the female bar staff had vision and could do three orders at a time! Norseman, no thanks!

Great food, great beer, excellent waiters. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a real Irish inn in the heart of Dublin. Also has guest accommodation, although we didn't have a chance to check it out. (Free wifi in the restaurant, though!) Just be wary of the many beggars and drunks in the streets of Temple Bar.

Rooms/apartments if you like above the busy The Norseman which it has been changed to recently. I have been to Dublin many times but my better half has not so I wanted somewhere that was easy to find and in the heart of Temple Bar. The room was clean with all the facilities you needed for your trip. We were... More

My husband and I ate here on a Tuesday night - it is called The Norseman now. The food was very nice - I had a burger and my husband had salmon. Generous portions, I couldn't eat all of mine. The waitress was called Fiona, and she was excellent. She was completely rushed off her feet, looking after a full... More

This place is a bar with rooms above. Small rooms with the showers not working in both the rooms we had. Nobody to call in the morning about that (it's a bar). Understandably noisy but is very very noisy until at least 4am - certainly on Sat night we were there. Far better value slightly further out of the city.... More
