This hotel struck me as beautiful from the outside as we drove up to it, and inside it did not disappoint! It has a high degree of elegance and class about its reception area and the bar and restaurant, but at the same time it still has a welcoming air about it. This may have also had something to do... more

I visited the hotel a few months ago with my two young children and my husband. I was so impressed by the hotel, the food and the friendliness of the staff that i decided that i would definetly come back and stay there which i did last month with my husband. I have been ranting about the food ever since.... more

I have stayed in Ballyliffin Lodge on numerous occasions eg. weddings, anniversary celebrations and also attended various functions ie. christenings, confirmations, birthdays, and found it outstanding at all times. I have found staff to be always friendly, polite and very helpful. The decor of the hotel is exquisite and I love the local artwork and photographs displayed around it, giving... more

We were booked a room through the bridge & groom of a wedding taking place here. The views of the ocean & breakers were lovely upon arriving at the lodge. The room looked really nice and the bathroom was clean and spacious - nice heated towel rack. One odd thing was that the toilet roll holder was much too far... more

We (a party of 4 couples from Coalisland, Co. Tyrone) made a return visit to Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa, in order to rekindle the intriguing courteousness and ever-welcoming friendliness by the staff of this hotel. As before everything about this hotel oozed class. The receptionists on duty - Lucinda and Marquita - are indeed true ambassadors - portraying warm-heartedness and... more

Stayed here for a friend's wedding last year and all round was suitably impressed. Rooms, service, facilities and ambience all were above par. Its proximity to Ballyliffin golf club and a few superb local beaches would make it very suitable for a weekend break, although I'm not sure what anyone would do there for much longer. more

My husband surprised me with a stay in this hotel for my birthday, and we had a fantastic time. It was certainly better service than another hotel that we stayed in that was supposedly a 5 star. We had a large spacious room with beautiful views of the bay from our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The... more

The Ballyliffin Lodge is a small to medium sized hotel and has some great superior suites with ocean/coastal views. The location is 15 minutes walk to the nearest beach which is popular with body boarders & surfers. Five fingers beach is 15 minutes drive away. Ballyliffin is a small village with not much happening - this is no Las Vegas.... more

I have just returned from a fantastic three day break to play golf at Ballyliffin. This hotel is a real find, it is four star+, I am suprised to see some of the ratings given on this site, certainley not the experience I and my eleven friends had. We found the accomodation to be superb, staff warm and friendly, they... more
