The warmth of Sian and Michael's welcome and the little touches like home-baking and cups of tea made the first night of my first trip to Ireland a wonderful experience. My room was spacious, warm and had everything you might need. And my pancakes with maple syrup and bananas for breakfast was fantastic! A really lovely place to stay and... More

Very difficult this one !! The owners are giving their best, maybe too much. On arrival coffee, tea and fresh scones were waiting for us. We got a free upgrade to a superior room. The prices are very moderate. Breakfast is ok, but my pancakes were cold 2x. We had supper one night and the food was delicious. We asked... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and don't worry, no offence taken. It is the first year that we have offered a refreshment table with home made baking and it has been a great success with me, who loves baking and our guests who appreciate the warm welcome. I am also delighted you enjoyed the dinner... More

We stayed in Donegal Manor in December 2011, we were attending a wedding locally and Donegal Manor was the perfect base for us. There were 28 of us altogether and we literally took over the Manor for the three days of our stay. Our hosts Sian & Michael could not have been more welcoming and there patience is to be... More

Thank you for the great review. I am delighted that the family were able to enjoy Donegal Manor to themselves for the three days. Lots of laughter and fun was had by all, which is what the festive season and weddings are all about. Donegal Manor is just the right size for a private family stay. More

This is a really lovely place to stay in Donegal. The definite highlight was the breakfast - truly delicious, freshly prepared and a long way from the usual guesthouse fare. It was late when I arrived, but I still got a warm welcome and some tea and fruitcake, which was just want I needed after a long journey! The room... More

Stayed in Donegal Manor Nov 2011. Hadn't stayed before although stayed in several other places in Donegal as I'm a regular visitor to the town (great wee town for a getaway, friendly people) We were so impressed with the Manor. Upon arrival we were made feel so welcome, a cold wet night, a warm cosy fire, pot of tea and... More

We stayed here 2 nights. The room was large and comfortable. We did not hear noise from the street. We arrived after dark and there was no light on outside the hotel, so it was rather difficult to find it, as it is set off the road a bit. This was minor however. What is particularly noteworthy about this place... More

This guesthouse/hotel is probably the best in the country....The rooms are immaculate and spacious. The food (especially breakfast ) is fab, Try the porter cake....worth the calories!!!! Sian and Michael are a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and will direct you wisely if you need travel advise. I have been at least 5 times and hope to return again... More
