My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Ard na Breatha. Theresa was wonderfully welcoming, and her husband is a wonderful cook. Local sourcing takes on new meaning. We were there in September, and the house and rooms were as warm as the welcome. Theresa was wonderful in giving answers to our questions, directions and helping us connect with... More

The staff were friendly and helpful. The home is a working farm. The rooms were located in a specially constructed unit for B&B clientele, spacious and clean. Bathroom was nice. Bar was very good, service/ bartender was our hostess. She was wonderful and made us all feel welcome. We arrived to too late for the prix fixe dinner; I regret... More

We stayed at the ard na breatha guest house the evening before attending a friends wedding at the near by lough eske castle. We arrived around 6 pm, shown to our rooms and given details for local taxis etc. We were meeting some of the other wedding party in donegal town so didn't sample dinner, however our breakfast and the... Just back from a two night break at this lovely guest house. The room was spacious, clean and comfy. Breakfast was really good. We chose to eat in the restaurant on our second night and it was fantastic. Lovely open fire and a fabulous meal. Sarah was so friendly and very professional. We arrived at 6PM for one night. It was easy to locate using GPS. The setting is serene - hillside country, sheep grazing in the back fields, gardens, iron gate entrance, views of the mountains. The rooms are located in the house adjacent to the check-in/restaurant house. Our room was very quiet and comfortable; we had a queen bed, and a... More

In Co. Donegal for the first time, attending a housewarming party out in the country, our friends recommended Theresa's B&B, and we were very pleased with our welcome, the accommodation, and the breakfast - we weren't able to sample dinner in the restaurant due to a combination of the All-Ireland Gaelic Football final (the chef had tickets) and being out... We arrived just before 9.00pm. The first thing we noticed as we stepped out of the car was the faint, but unmistakable, smell of smoke from a fire burning turf. Inside, and just past the reception desk, was a large stone fireplace with its open fire. Lovely comfortable sofas and leather armchairs in this area invite the weary traveller to... More

This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in over the past few years. Rooms are spacious and well presented. Breakfast is delicious. The restaurant was not open when we were there, but the recommended restaurant in town was well worth the visit for dinner. Only a short drive from town and well worth a stay if you... More

We enjoyed our stay in Theresa's nice guesthouse very much. Unfortunately, we only could stay for two nights. The breakfast and dinner in her restaurant was delicious. The service was great. In this premise you find both a restaurant and a b&b, in two separate buildings with a shared entrance. Now I’m rating the b&b. Well, this is not a b&b, it’s an “hotel de charme”. If I have well understood the english translation of the celtic name, “Lovely Highness” well describes where you will be welcomed by an extremely polite... More
