Our stay at Ard Na Breatha Guesthouse was a lovely respite. Donegal town was just a short drive away (few minutes). Our room was very comfortable and conveniently located on the first floor as our luggage was heavy. Dinner was delicious and served beautifully.

We thought this B&B was a bit expensive. €118 a night for a room is an acceptable price for a luxury hotel, not a B&B which is what this experience is. The hostess is very gracious and the atmosphere is friendly. No complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Room was nice and clean but not exactly luxurious.

Dear Guest, I'm sorry you felt that the price was too high, July August is the highest price months for accommodation. We are not a B&B we are a Guesthouse with a Restaurant, this means we have much more over heads than a bed and breakfast would have, We pay commercial rates, bar licence much higher insurance and have higher... During a family trip to Ireland, our group of 10 people stayed at Ard na Breatha, and our experience was really excellent. The rooms were beautiful and the food was very good. This location had a really nice sitting room for the guests to use, with a piano, some books, and a chess set. We look forward to returning to... More

Hospitality was first class. Very nice breakfast in a bright and cheerful dinning room. The guest room was simple and clean with everything we needed. A little updating is needed however to bring the overal experience to the very good to excellent rating! If you are looking for a basic clean room with great hospitality you will not be disappointed.

There was a nice communal sitting area for guests, so it was nice to have an extra space to use. The décor is quaint and fits the character of the building. It is located in a quiet area, even though it is near the motorway. Get your GPS out as it may be tricky to get here. The bathroom and... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in June and found the guesthouse to be charming, the host and staff friendly and the service provided to be of a very high standard without being imposing or stuffy. It is obvious that the owner had prior experience within the hospitality sector as she was extremely attentive and friendly. Donegal... More

Pros: Pleasant communal area. Room clean. Friendly staff. On site restaurant, excellent evening meal and good breakfast. Cons: Room dated and in need of refurbishment e.g. mirror had extensive tarnishing. Overpriced based on condition of room. We would not stay again.

Driving every day in the Irish countryside is both beautiful and stressful. Finding this guesthouse was the best thing for us. It was a beautiful farm-like setting. Our room was large, and very comfortable. We sat in the common room, started a fire in the fireplace, and regrouped for our next few days. The dining room for breakfast was warm... More
