This B&B is too nice to believe. Ecery room has large windows and comfortable chairs to take in the view of Lough Eske. Noreen could not be any nicer. Ony a few minutes drive to Donegal Town. Noreen uses top shelf local food and serves amazing brown bread. She was always checking if we needed anything and was happy to... more

We are veteran travellers throughout Ireland for nearly a decade. We joke about "qualifying" for Irish citizenship. In general, the B&Bs of Ireland set a high standard, but The Arches surpasses the very best. The Arches Country House, over-looking Lough Eske, is located outside Donegal town (on a country road) that circles the beautiful lake. Our congenial hostess, Noreen McGinty,... more

If you want a peaceful B and B with glorious lake views this is the place for you. We could not fault this charming house and found are hostess Noreen to be most friendly and approachable. Everything was spotless, the breakfasts were superb and all in all this is an excellent establishment. more

We have just completed our 8th journey to Ireland in the last 8 years having stayed in over 60 B&Bs during these trips. Most have been well above average but not necessarily outstanding. The Arches Country House on Lough Eske, Donegal Town stands out as the singularly finest B&B the 4 of us have ever stayed in. I would give... more

First impression, Noreen is a cold fish and some what grumpy. Dont let that put you off. Food is good. The rooms are clean and are ideal for a couple. The views are breath taking. Somewhat off the beaten track. Donegal Town is excellent and we where spoilt for places to eat.. more

Setting was beautiful, B&B was OK, our room was rather small but nice. The breakfast was OK. The owner was cold, met us at the door, was abrupt, gave us a key to the room, and did not show us around the property. Husband was never available and never approached any guest while I was there. This B&B could be... more

From the moment we drove up, we could see we made the right choice in staying here. The room, the grounds, the view, the food and our hostess were superb! Sadly, we only had one day to enjoy it. This should be on the top of anyone's list for lodging when visiting Donegal. Thanks for a great stay! more

We stayed here as we were going to a wedding at Harvey's Point Hotel. We had beautiful large rooms with a view of the lake - stunning! The breakfast was delicious and again the view from the dining room amazing. What really made this stand out was the service from the hostess. She went out of her way to help... more

We are regular visitors to The Arches and to us it epitomises everything a wonderful bed and breakfast should be. We cannot speak highly enough of this b&b especially the total professionalism and friendliness of the owner hosts, Noreen and Connie. The rooms are all impeccably decorated, each one different from the others. Noreen looks after the needs of her... more

The Arches b&b was a pleasure to stay in. The location is excellent with stunning views over Lough Eske from our bedrooms and very peaceful. The owner Noreen was a very nice, helpful lady, which made our stay more enjoyable. I was with my wife and mother in law during our stay and we just loved everything about it. The... more
