The hotel was brillant and very clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and the hotel had entertainment on in the evening. The town is also great with lots of places to eat and the pubs are plentiful with music in most of them in the evening.

The hotel is a bit haphazard in it's layout (not a lot they can do about that), so I would not recommend for those with disability, with a maze of corridors and small sets of stairs. Our room (294) was in below average condition, with a stain on the carpet and the bed was like a banana, with the ends... More

Had a meal in the bar of this hotel recently and we really enjoyed it, food was very good and service was excellent. We both had vegetable soup for starters and for mains we had roast beef, vegetables and mash. The only negative point was that both meals were served with lashings of thick gravy. This appears to be a... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend break. It is in an excellent location right in the center of the town. When first going into the room we noticed the duvet cover was very shabby and on further inspection noticed it was coming apart at the seams, had a big hole and a long hair... More

We arrived very late with a coach party near the end of hurricane Gonzales. The staff could not have been more welcoming and dinner was served with a smile despite the time, (10:00) We had a very clean room with a wonderful view of the bay. The icing on the cake for us was the swimming pool, a good size... More

Had a delicious meal in this hotel. Our steaks were beautifully cooked and the presentation was first class. Our meal was served by a lovely waitress called Anne. She was very attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed throughout our meal. Anne is very professional and is a great asset to the hotel. Well done to... More

We stayed here recently on a coach tour I'm afraid I don't class it as good for the elderly or infirm as to get to our third floor room we had to go down a set of stairs follow on round pass the restaurant and ball room area along a long corridor to get to a small lift we then... More

I hadn't booked ahead so it's probably the reason I didn't get the best price, but that is on me. The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the Donegal Castle in one direction and a 2 minute walk the other way has some ruins to see. Very cute town with little shopping stores very close. The room was... More

We stopped here on our way through Donegal simply because it was getting late and we wanted to get off the road. The hotel is reviewed in Lonely Planet so we assumed it couldn't be too bad. The guide did say the hotel was "dated", but I find that to be an understatement. Do you watch Gordon Ramsay's "Hotel Hell"?... More
