Made a really last minute decision to go to Donegal town and stay overnight. A quick glance to Trip Advisor and we decided to try Gap Lodge. This is situated five miles from Donegal, just before Barnesmore Gap, on the main road to Letterkenny and all points North. We were welcomed by Sheila and shown to our room at the... More

Nothing is too much trouble at the Gap lodge Sile is very welcoming and has thought of everything to make our stay very enjoyable. Great breakfasts with a good selection of cooked, cereal, and home made scones and bread. Room was comfortable and warm with lots of nice touches such as power adaptor tea and coffee and local information The... More

5 of us stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. We were made very welcome by Sile and loved our stay. The breakfast was generous and perfect. Sile was happy to cater for gluten free also. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again

What a fabulous bed and breakfast , warm friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble , breakfast was fantastic too . The bathroom was a bit small but served its purpose . It is on quite a busy road but you don't hear the traffic in the room . Well worth a stay if you are visiting the area

We had a lovely one night stay here. The B&B is located a way outside of Donegal town in a beautiful, scenic area. Although it is close to a fairly major road it is quiet. Parking is easy and ample - not always true at B&Bs in Ireland. Although there were only two of us, we ended up in a... More

This bed and breakfast is set in amazing scenery. We got a very friendly welcome. The room was clean and spacious. We were treated to a wonderful breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

This is such a lovely B&B. Incredible value for money, it is spotlessly clean and super-comfy, with lots of amenities in the rooms. Sile is so warm and welcoming, and the full Irish breakfast is amazing, so tasty and generous, plus Sile bakes her own bread, including gluten-free. The only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

We only stayed one night but found this small out-of-the-way place ideal and a great value. Our room was very intimate and tidy. The exterior and grounds also nicely maintained. The hostess owner was a delight as well...very personable and anxious to help with information about the area. Although the Gap Lodge is not in town (On the main road... More

Excellent stop on our tour of the Irish coast. We stayed during the off season for just one night, but the warm welcome and conversation we received made me wish we could stay longer. Absolutely gorgeous place and right along a desolate stretch of the highway between Northern Ireland and Donegal.
