Nothing is too much trouble at the Gap lodge Sile is very welcoming and has thought of everything to make our stay very enjoyable. Great breakfasts with a good selection of cooked, cereal, and home made scones and bread. Room was comfortable and warm with lots of nice touches such as power adaptor tea and coffee and local information The... More

I give the high rating because of the breakfast which was one of the best we had in Ireland, prepared at a special table with much love to detail by the very friendly host. One to remember! The room was just average and the house is a bit out of town, you definitely need a car to move around.

Sile was so nice and helpful from the minute we got her on the phone to book a room. She advised on the best way to take from where we were. As soon as we arrived she showed us our room - the room was very cute, clean and warm, the beds were confortable and we slept like babies. In... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night while going to a wedding at the nearby Lough Eske (approx €12 in a taxi). We were warmly welcomed on arrival not by the owner but by a worker who was v helpful. We had a top class breakfast at 10am on the Sunday morning, thickest bacon slices I ever got at a... More

Our stay with Sile was memorable and enjoyable. The breakfasts were the best we've sampled so far and .our room was spotless and very comfortable. We were made to feel at home from the start and would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast .

Stayed 2 nights 3 & 4 Sept, great accommodation on the outskirts of Donegal. Breakfast was lovely, great choice. Nothing was to much trouble for Sile she made us feel most welcome. I would come again and I would certainly recommend Gap Lodge to family and friends.

Made a really last minute decision to go to Donegal town and stay overnight. A quick glance to Trip Advisor and we decided to try Gap Lodge. This is situated five miles from Donegal, just before Barnesmore Gap, on the main road to Letterkenny and all points North. We were welcomed by Sheila and shown to our room at the... More

5 of us stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. We were made very welcome by Sile and loved our stay. The breakfast was generous and perfect. Sile was happy to cater for gluten free also. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again

What a fabulous bed and breakfast , warm friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble , breakfast was fantastic too . The bathroom was a bit small but served its purpose . It is on quite a busy road but you don't hear the traffic in the room . Well worth a stay if you are visiting the area
