I stayed at this B&B last night, and found it to be very pleasant. I was in Cork for one night for work, and didn't get there until 8pm, but was greeted warmly and shown to my room. There was an issue with my card, but the landlady was very chilled about it. Pros: Nice room, small and clean. There... More

Stayed a night in this fab little B&B with a friend as we were down in Cork for a wedding. I'll admit I've never stayed in a B&B house before just hotels and this exceed my expectations, it was quite a big boutique like place and ever so pretty decor. Our room was on the top floor only annoying thing... More

It started with parking - next to front door in late afternoon. With more guests to arrive how was I to get out and have dinner in Cobh? Management had no solutions. I went up and down surrounding streets and asked at another hotel to find you could park on the street after 8pm, departure from street must be before... More

We stayed at Shandon Bells for 2 nights during our stay in Cork. Although the location is good (right next to the university and a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre), I don't understand why they call themselves a B&B when you have to pay extra for breakfast. We didn't take the breakfast, the 2 nights were expensive enough.... More

We booked this b&b for one night during our trip through Ireland. Nice, modern rooms with a very nice bathroom. Flatscreen tv, free wifi with good speed and a free parking slot were available. Very friendly welcome and we were allowed to park our car here during the next day while visiting cork.

We booked here at the last minute and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay, however it was a tad bit unclean. Our room was very dusty, the cups were dirty and there were very few plug sockets within the room. On the other hand, the bed itself was very comfortable, and the sheets were fresh. I... More

Shandon bells was located only 5 minutes from the city center. It is very cute inside and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The owner was very sweet and came to our door to make sure we got in safely and if we needed anything. The bed was comfortable. Very clean and the view of the river from our room was incredible.... Let's start with the positives. The location, once you find it (which ain't easy even with a SatNav) is excellent - a short walk to the city-centre, restaurants, cathedral etc. A useful piece of advice to stop you from going insane. Programme Mardyke Street into your GPS. Once you've found that - it's a short street - it is a... More

Close to the city center, you can walk to the Cathedral in 5 minutes and to the St. Patrick's street in 10. Nothing so good to highlight anyway, friendly staff but not so present throughout our stay. Tiny parking area, they should manage in some way.

I liked how you were able to ring the bells yourself. There are several strings inside the tower that are attached to different bells. You can pull the strings to play music for the entire city. There is even sheet music so you can play your favourite songs on the bells
