I just love this place. I have stayed here on multiple occasions and if I could, I would stay there every time I went to Cork. It can sometimes be hard to book a room but this is because of its excellent location right next door to UCC, its prices and its absolute charm. Now, if you're looking for perfection... More

I had originally booked this 'B&B' through Booking.com which is safe, quick, and very handy.I then had to switch dates and ultimately used the B&B'S own website to book. I had not received a confirmation email; and had no proof that I had booked, so I was very nervous and on my way to Cork (from Belfast) I decided to... More

A real doll's house look like. This B&B is pretty small, well located just outside the Cork citycenter, nice fornitures '800 century style. Feels like being in Alice's Wonderland universe, nice bed really good private bathroom and for those who rent a car to travel as me and my girlfriend did, is perfect cuz it has a private parking place... We found this B&B very comfortable , Room 2, ultra clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Getting to the Dinning Room for breakfast was a bit of a trek up and down stairs and parking was tight in the front of the house - not for anyone wit a big car. Overall a very good experience and a... More

Reluctant to write a bad review as overall everything was fine. Stayed in room 11 for two nights from 6 Feb 2015. Noticed tiny little reddish brown thing on sheet in morning and thought nothing of it. Then developed around 60 itchy red marks mainly on face neck arms and ankles. Googled it and turns out the little thing on... More

Just returned from a visit after staying 3 dreadful nights in Room 1 on the ground floor. This has been one of my worst experiences at a B&B. While the room has clearly been redecorated recently and looked wonderful with a beautiful bathroom etc my visit was completely spoilt by the dreadful smell in the room - especially from the... Very small room ("economic" room n°11), a bit old (but globally clean), and unfortunately I found one living insect on the bed in the morning (quite sure it's a bed bug), so I cancelled my second night.

My wife and I had been told by numerous people that staying in bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) in Ireland. This was the first of two nights we booked at B&Bs in Ireland with good ratings. We had some difficulty finding it (our own fault) and were very tired from walking a long way by the time we arrived. The door... More

It is difficult to park in front of shandon bells but we had a pleasant experience from start to finish once we were let in. Our room was an attic room, which was quite small but cozy and cleverly laid-out - cozy! There was a full bathtub and very comfortable bed. Nice coffee and tea were available in the room.... More
