We thoroughly enjoyed our (sadly brief) stay at Fernroyd House. We had the Annex (3 rooms out of the 4), and it was a delightful surprise! I only wish we'd brought more family so we could have had the 4th room as well. The rooms and the building were spotless and very tastefully decorated. The sheets were divine! Avril and... More

From the moment we arrived at the Fernroyd House, Tony and Avril made us feel welcome. They are excellent hosts and make sure you are well taken care of. It felt as if we had known them for years. The breakfast is wonderful and filling. The scones are incredible. I can't say enough wonderful things about this bed and breakfast.... More

My husband and I stayed at Fernroyd House in early April for two nights. It is quite lovely, charming and has a great location. Talking with Tony was like having a personal itinerary planner! We followed his advice and took in the sights of the city, the surrounding county and the stunning Beara Peninsula. His advice was also spot on... More

Wonderful homely welcome from Tony and Chip the dog, who is never allowed in the dining room, but how that little dog sits and guards the property is a sight to be seen. Bedroom lovely and clean, nice bathroom and good shower. Breakfasts spot on, nothing over cooked, Keith my partner enjoyed every cooked breakfast. For me Avril's scones and... More

We have mixed feelings about this place -- it definitely was not what we expected from the No. 1 rated Cork B&B. There is a main house, where breakfast is served, and an annex down the street where we were. The B&B has a good location next to the college and the river, and an easy walk to Cork city... More

We chose this B&B as it was rated no1 on Tripadvisor - we completely agree. We usually have an annual break with our neighbours and thought Cork would be an interesting place to visit. This is undoubtedly the friendliest place to stay in Cork, Avril and Tony cannot do enough for you. We had the annexe, a few doors away,... More

Perfect location, owners are the most kind people. Very clean and quiet, all bedrooms are comfortable. Breakfast is also perfect with a lot of good choices, including traditional Irish breakfast. Highly recommended!

Our first night in Ireland at Fernroyd House B & B was the beginning of a love for B & B's. My wife and I had stayed in one in the US, but this was so much better. We were met with afternoon tea and scones that were out of this world after a long flight, 24 hours of being... More

This is arguably one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. There are 2 houses to this establishment and our group were in house number 2 "the Annexe". This was 4 doors down from the main house and was fabulous for our needs. A gorgeous little garden with tables and chairs and an open plan dining/living/kitchen area. Big... More

Tony and Avril take pride in attending to your needs. The room is very clean, the food is excellent, and the hosts are outstanding. There is a menu of breakfast choices, including a great full Irish breakfast. The scones are wonderful! We stayed a week and it was like home. A special thank you to them for recommending entertaining places... More
