We chose this B&B as it was rated no1 on Tripadvisor - we completely agree. We usually have an annual break with our neighbours and thought Cork would be an interesting place to visit. This is undoubtedly the friendliest place to stay in Cork, Avril and Tony cannot do enough for you. We had the annexe, a few doors away,... More

Perfect location, owners are the most kind people. Very clean and quiet, all bedrooms are comfortable. Breakfast is also perfect with a lot of good choices, including traditional Irish breakfast. Highly recommended!

Our first night in Ireland at Fernroyd House B & B was the beginning of a love for B & B's. My wife and I had stayed in one in the US, but this was so much better. We were met with afternoon tea and scones that were out of this world after a long flight, 24 hours of being... More

This is arguably one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. There are 2 houses to this establishment and our group were in house number 2 "the Annexe". This was 4 doors down from the main house and was fabulous for our needs. A gorgeous little garden with tables and chairs and an open plan dining/living/kitchen area. Big... More

Tony and Avril take pride in attending to your needs. The room is very clean, the food is excellent, and the hosts are outstanding. There is a menu of breakfast choices, including a great full Irish breakfast. The scones are wonderful! We stayed a week and it was like home. A special thank you to them for recommending entertaining places... More

We had the privilege of staying at this B&B for 5 days while on vacation in Ireland. Tony and Avril are the best hosts you will encounter. Their knowledge of Cork is incredible, recommendations always excellent. Central location within walking distance to all the important activities. Fabulous breakfasts, the scones are the best we had in Ireland. Highly recommended.

My wife and I and another couple stayed a week at the Fernroyd House in Cork. We can't say enough about it. Great location, especially if you have business or are visiting the University of Cork, but also walking distance to great restaurants, shops etc in downtown Cork. A quiet tranquil spot with enough of the amenities that you truly... More

I stayed for ten days and could not have been happier. For anyone needing easy access to UCC, this location is ideal, but it also offers a pleasant and short walk into the heart of town. The breakfasts are served fresh and to-order. Both Tony and Avril are Cork natives who can and will assist you with anything you ask.... More

My husband and I just returned from a 7 day stay at Fernroyd House. The location could not have been better. The garden was an unexpected pleasure. The breakfasts were delicious and customized to taste. The best part of a stay at Fernroyd House, however, is the very special care that both Tony and Avril provide their guests - great... More

I can see why Avril and Tony are the number one rated B & B in Cork - Fernroyd House has everything going for it. Fantastic and friendly hosts, fantastic sized comfortable rooms, great breakfast and brilliant location. We couldn't have been any happier with our stay there, except if we could have had more time there. I wouldn't look... More
