Be warned if you're using GPS to find this place. The GPS directions are TERRIBLE and you will be frustrated by the time you get there. Once there you will find ample parking in front of the guest house although it's a tight squeeze. Our room was a bit peculiar in layout (three beds), and the TV was small, but... More

One of the best places I've ever stayed. Room was immaculate, good size and modern. Slept well. Very friendly owner & staff. They had all the alternative foods and were well equipped with dairy free & gluten free. The view from the dining room overlooks the city and the front has a steep hill down into the front of the... Firstly, I would urge people to ignore all of the negative comments posted about Gabriel's. I enjoyed a very comfortable thre night stay here and would happily recommend to others. The place itself is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and the staff appeared very friendly and helpful. There was a seemingly limitless choice when it came to breakfast and once... More

Having stayed here on a previous occasion it was the obvious choice for a one night visit to Cork recently. Sometimes a return can disappoint but certainly not here. Value for money I would suggest is nigh on unbeatable...excellent breakfast, spotless room, 10 mins stroll from the centre of town. If you are particularly averse to steps that might be... More

I stayed here for a night while on a driving holiday with a friend and we were generally impressed with this b&b. The room was nice, though ours had a bit of an interesting odour emanating from the bathroom. The bathroom was also rather small - but not a problem. The centre of town is a short walk away and... Thank you very much for taking time to write a review we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and I would like to respond to two issues you raised. I take on board your comment in ralation to the size of the bathroom, we felt it more important to allocate extra floor space to the bedroom give that... More

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. On arrival we were really impressed with the look of this B&B. it's location was perfect for us not right in the centre but easily accessible by foot (even with 2 children in tow). Our family room was very large and relatively clean. It did unfortunately have... More

We stayed here for a night at the end of March so we could explore the Cork area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in describing the local attractions and for getting to Cobh. The location is great and only takes about 15min to walk down into the town. We ate at 14A which was centrally located and pleased... More

We decided to venture to Cork for the weekend at the last minute. When we arrived the staff remembered my name and my sons name from our conversation on the phone. The room we stayed in had great views of the city and was very nice. They had even set up a travel cot for no extra charge for our... More

We were very disappointed with the maid service, the bed linen was never changed during our stay (7 nights), the beds were never made properly, just the eiderdown pulled over. The towels were changed just the once (when we left them on the floor of the shower unit). Cheap but without a minimal service level.

Further to your review, I wish to state that stayover rooms are serviced daily, unless a guest specifies otherwise. Our housekeeping staff refer to a set schedule of sheet changes depending on the duration of stay. Out of respect to the environment towels are only changed when placed on the bathroom floor or in the shower as stated in every... More

I stay here on and off througout the year. The staff have been lovely and welcoming on every occasion. The breakfast (a mixture of buffet and cooked) is generous, well-presented and broad in range. I think it's a very luxurious 3 star and it's great value.
