We stayed 2 nights here in July, this B & B is a 10 minute walk from the bus station & train station and probably 15 minutes to the down core, The room was very big and our room had a great view with lots of windows. We had breakfast both days and we enjoyed the food. this could easily... More

Stayed there recently wouldn't go back. Wifi intermittent, I found hair clip ( not mine!) in my bed, my scrambled eggs cold, my bacon uncooked. Room for improvement. Location was good a short walk to the city center and restaurants.

I recently stayed at Gabriel House and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Kathleen the manager was very welcoming and accommodating, allowing me to check in several hours earlier than usually permitted. The breakfast menu was by the far the most extensive menu I have seen in any B&B I have visited. You will be spoilt for choice! Guests were also encouraged... More

I had heard the most wonderful things about this B&B so my expectations were high but overall I came away disappointed. I would say it is above average but only just. The breakfast in particular was meant to be fantastic but there again just above average. There is no lift and we were on the top floor, the rooms were... More

The hotel was easy to find with a large car park. The room was lovely and very big although would have preferred a double bed rather than two singles pushed together as it was a bit uncomfortable. The room needed a bit of TLC, scuff marks on the wall etc. The breakfast was nice with a wide choice from the... More

The people who work at this B&B are lovely and welcoming. We had nice conversations with both women at reception and the breakfast staff. My review is not a reflection of the wonderful people who work at this B&B. The B&B is clean and well kept. The breakfast was delicious and prepared quickly. The room we stayed in on the... More

It was good value for money given that it was close to the centre and included breakfast. Rooms are cosy size and bathroom is compact but functional. Customer service was good. Breakfast room couldn't accommodate everyone at the same time. They should have 2 sitting times to ensure that there aren't people waiting. The place was clean.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights whilst a visited family in Cork, all staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 10, didn't get much sleep due to the machines outside, we had to close the windows on the second night which was better, found the beds uncomfortable, and the shower seal was broken and the water went... My friends and I stayed at the Gabriel House in December and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not far from Cork's city center, maybe 15 minutes on foot. It's on a hill, but unless you're in terrible shape it's not a difficult walk. Breakfast is very good and the service is excellent.... More

For many years when I visited Cork City I stayed at the Gresham Metropole Hotel but during two visits I had serious issues with noise keeping me awake at night so in 2012 I decided to try The Gabriel House Hotel. Gabriel House is a few yards downhill from St Luke's Church which is the most imposing building in the... More
