I was greeted by the manager (proprietor?) on my arrival. She was thoroughly professional and suggested that I might enjoy the breakfast. I made an online booking so that wasn't an option. She described the offerings. They sounded appetizing and they were. If you're booking, be sure to include the breakfast. I had granola with fruit and yoghurt, good French... More

The hotel was well located just 500m for town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean and comfortable. Our room was very comfortable with big bed and nice modern bathroom. WiFi very good. Even good to see the chickens and ducks in the hotel garden supplying wonderful eggs for breakfast. By the way the breakfast was really good with... More

Probably a nice place if you aren't on the ground floor. Decor neat and up to date. Totally ruined by having a room which directly faced the reception desk which was 1-2 metres away!!! I asked to be moved. Noisy guests coming and going and talking loudly until well after 2330 and phone ringing. Woken at 0730 by guests going... More

Stumbled across this little hotel which is a mix of old house charm and a large B&B and good value. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was travelling alone so expected that my roof top room would be something of a squeeze but i ended up with a spacious comfortable room with... More

We really enjoyed our visit to Gabriel House. We had the corner room on the second floor which was spacious and beautifully appointed. I liked the feel of the old house coupled with updated charm. The bathroom was clean and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional and the hostess really seemed to care about getting... More

We'd give this 3-1/2 stars. It was nice enough. The driveway is a little thrilling to get down (and up again). Reception was pleasant and efficient. The room was on the smaller side. The bathroom was nice, but there were no amenities other than liquid soap in dispensers which I don't find very useful. (Incidentally, the one by the sink... More

We stayed 2 nights here in July, this B & B is a 10 minute walk from the bus station & train station and probably 15 minutes to the down core, The room was very big and our room had a great view with lots of windows. We had breakfast both days and we enjoyed the food. this could easily... More
