We stayed at Gabriel house for one night while en route to Kerry, we found Valerie to be so welcoming and helpful, she involved our young daughter in putting the hens to bed and gave her a memorable experience, and the best pancakes ever the next morning, the location is very convenient to the city, we would highly recommend this... We stayed one night during Summer. For 4 people our room lacked moving room due to no space allocated for luggage. The room was very bare basics - basically beds and a bathroom. The building itself is quite old and reminded me more of a hostel rather than luxury accommodation. There is not much parking so be prepared to park... More

We spent a couple of days in Cork this past month and stayed at the Gabriel House. The people running the place are very friendly and helpful. However, this B&B is very old and with that said, you have to adjust your expectations a bit. The B&B is located up a steep hill. The parking area is on a steep... More

Arriving tired and exhausted in Cork having spent the day climbing around castles and hillside we suffered a booking snafu. This is not the hotel we booked into however through no fault of our own, it is where we ended up. We were on the second floor up four flights of stairs as is there is no lift or porter.... More

At first sight this is not very appealing however the staff are very friendly and helpful. Because of its situation on a hill and many steps it is not very disabled friendly although this did not affect us. If driving the entrance to the drive is tight and the car park has a steep slope. The room was very small... More

Just a short walk out of the centre, albeit up a steepish hill, this B&B was excellent. Very friendly staff who were knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are of a very good standard, more like a hotel than B&B. Breakfasts were great, with a good menu to choose from, efficiently managed by staff that knew what they were about. Great... More

We stayed at the Gabriel Guesthouse for 3 nights whilst on a recent trip to Cork and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable; the included breakfast was great; the free wifi worked well; and the staff were helpful and friendly. The guesthouse is in a good spot, a short walk (uphill) from the city, bus station... More

Gabriel Guesthouse is quaint , lots of steps, Double rooms very small, we had booked a triple room and managed with the help of Katleen to take them. These rooms are much larger , top floor , lots of steps . Shower had a trickle of water , not good . We paid euro 140.00 , no value for money

This truly is a special place to stay. Its a small homely guesthouse. The staff are very personable and great ambassadors for Cork. You have to visit the city garden with the ducks and chickens, who provide the eggs for your breakfast. All this only a 15 mins stroll to the city centre.

More hotel than B and B. We had a nice comfortable room. Walking distance to the citycentre is 10 to 15 minutes downhill . this means returning uphill after visiting a restaurant or a pub. Large free parking with not so easy entrance. Good wifi. Very complete breakfast. Take the salmon and scrambled eggs you will not regret it.
