This was not my B&B of choice in Cork, but ended up here after the original B&B lost my booking. The owner is a very friendly and helpful lady, but the rooms, while clean, are very dated, and the road noise from the N8 just outside our window didn't abate until 4:00am. I wouldn't stay here again because of the... More

We had room number 1. Two seperate beds. The room was small and tasteless. No style to be mentioned. Window was leaking so bottom of the bed was wet and also the carpet and therefor my socks. This was because of exeptionally strong rainfall we were told but the legs of the bedside table looked as if they had been... More

The housing is very quaint; the rooms are very clean. We had to climb many stairs, but considered it part of our exercise regime...wonderful host!!! They cleaned our rooms and made our bed daily. We stayed about 4 days and they are right near the train station. We walked everywhere (good exercise) and it was a 10 minute walk to... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Oakland B&B in Cork. The hostess is a charming lady who knows how to cook a great breakfast. Don't let the outside appearance detour you from enjoying this lodging. I was pleasantly surprised by our stay there. A little difficult to find if your not familiar with the area, but worth the search. Room was... More

Just outside the center of Cork you find a lot of (old) B&B’s in a row along the street where Oakland B&B is located. Run by very kind people it is obvious that the building is a little outdated. But for a short visit of Cork, it will do and the location to do this is very good. The room... More

Our stay at Oakland was wonderful. The location is wonderful, all within walking distance to shops and restaurants / pubs. The B&B is beautiful and all of its surroundings. Rooms very clean and breakfast delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Rosemary.

This was the only day my friend and I had not pre-booked a B&B. This is a family operated "Clon Ross" B&B. Located directly across from the rail line they serve a repeat clientele. We got the last room and that meant climbing sets of narrow stairs. Yes, very run down but on the other hand, very homey. The girl... More
